I remember that spectacular run and goal, it was a big talking point at school given how nobody was expecting anything from the unknown Saudi Arabian team. I hadn't realised it came so early, I think the match was played while we were at school so I wouldn't have seen the full game. Belgium played a lot of nice attacking football, but their finishing was often poor. I remember the name Luc Nilis from Sensible World of Soccer, nice to see his skills in reality were pretty good :) Falatah seems rather dismayed at his miss near the end (@7:25), perhaps Saudi needed better goal difference to make it out of the group? Alternatively it could just have been disappointment at not scoring in a world cup, he might have known already that it would be his last chance to do so. They certainly had the Belgian defence struggling to cope with the pace of some of their forwards.

Saudi Arabia made to the second round at that world cup 1994 and they lost to Sweden in the round of 16 .

@@ashrafbeshir2808 Wow! That's impressive, I had forgotten that. Sweden were one of the best teams in the competition.

Why didn't they show the entire run that led up to the goal ?, that is laughably badly edited especially considering its one of the greatest solo goals of all-time.
