So far yes! Definitely not the best glass quality but it is still fully functional. No complaints for the price.

Unfortunately there aren't as many options for Savages, however, MDT is now making several (almost all) of their chassis with a Savage inlet. They also have their Oryx (MDT's budget line) chassis inlet for Savages. I have an Oryx for another rifle and it's a great chassis for the price. I think the Choates (like mine in this video) can be had with a DBM inlet, but this drives the cost up to the point where you might as well buy a better chassis or stock. Also check out Boyd's stocks for a little bit more classic wood/laminate option. Downside to Boyd's IMO though is that they sometimes need fitting and almost always should be bedded.

It is a simple drop in, just torque your action screws and good to go. My personal experience with Boyd’s took a good bit of fitting and bedding to get to the same level. I don’t recall the exact model number but it’s the tactical savage short action. Just make sure you verify your action screw spacing.

Hey matt finally got my stock for Christmas went to fit it up and the tang (safety) does not fit flush it stands proud by about 3/16" of the stock did you have problems with this?

@@jeffreycase285 Yes, Choate makes them that way for some reason. The only way to really solve it is to bed that whole area, however, it won't affect your accuracy if you choose not to. Purely aesthetic.

Yes, there’s a t slot rail under there and a sling swivel mount that rides in the slot that you can mount a bipod off of.

Blake Lucy Aluminum bedding block and I believe the plastic material is something called DuPont Rynite. It is very tough, makes a Glock frame look like it’s made of glass. EABCO is the place to get them too, best prices and fast shipping. Had mine in 3 days.
