Henry talks about the new Weedless version of the Sandeel V2 and explain where and how they can be used from bouncing off the rocks of a reef, in high surf conditions or deep undulating water.
Henry has been at the for front of the design of both the Sandeel V2 and weedless versions with the evolution from the highly rated Savage Sandeel. There have been numerous samples tried and tested to gain that perfect swimming action that is irresistible to sea bass.
With a lively kicking action on both the drop and the retrieve, this super realistic sandeel imitation will fool even the wariest of predator fish. The unique jig head ensures a perfect rolling action and that the lure will come up on retrieve. The Pro Peg body holder makes it possible to peg the body to the head with a toothpick, creating a very simple and secure hold. The soft PVC body comes pre-rigged with an internal glass rattle that gives off a provoking sound to any nearby hunting fish. This weedless version of the lure features a strong click-on connection for the interchangeable EWG hook.

Looks good. I could not get on with the FBM system and trashed a good few bodies. These look much more simple to rig.

Great vid - you've done me again - out comes the credit card. Love the way the profile on the bottom of the head skips across snags. My money's on the khaki and lemon ones being out of stock pretty quick. Thinking about poking red strimmer nylon through the hole to create an additional sight target.

Unfortunately our Henry sold out years ago. When he was young doing the different types of angling he was worth a look. Nowadays he became a poor shadow of his former self trying to flog the latest lures. So he needs to make living like all of us but hmmmmm…..

Love this fixing system. Love weedless, I fish estuaries a lot and weed can be a real issue. Bombarda can be mixed with the lure and the speed to get a depth/speed you want if the bottom is very snaggy. (Many peeler slabs in my favourite estuary) Glad you are working with savage. I'll have a look. Please get back to making more passionate about angling and nature Henry. You have a natural charisma and energy that is magnetic. Another fishing on the edge but with lures and a campervan?

Tail, tail, tail, same old problem with the tail vibration. V1 it was a brilliant lure when I've managed to modify the tail.

As a novice lure fisherman, I lose a few lures by misjudging depth/retrieve speed over snaggy ground. Excited about the look of this new lure and will definitely be buying a few. A question please, why might anyone buy the J Hook version?

IMO because sometimes when lure fishing you don’t need to be close to the snags/ seabed. If the sea is rough and turbulent those bass might well be snatching baitfish near the surface. So if you’re working your lure in the upper layers it is less likely that a lure with an exposed hook point will snag.

How nice would that be with a pulse tail? Would make it swim straight without the upwards kink in the body. They look well designed though..

A friend of mine who we call MR BASS for obvious reasons , said he will never again use them because the hook has broken in several 10 lb plus fish. Could you please check this out. Tight lines.

I’ll wait for the upgrade so I don’t have several parts and have to mess around with cocktail sticks. I’m sure there’s a better way that this.

@@barlow2976 he never said it was hard, he said it was a step backwards and I'd have to agree. Why mess around with pliers and toothpicks when there are many other lures like the Fiiish Minnow that are weedless lures and you don't have to snip anything with a pliers. What buy a lure you have to work on when you can buy another you can just clip on, its ridiculous. I bet the next version wont require you to do anything but just clip it on. The way it should be.

Isn’t bass (lure) fishing strange….? I hear constantly ; bright sunny days are no good, only fish white at night for getting through the dark murky waters …ect ect Some marks I fish the best times are crystal clear waters with bright sun, and dark lures work fantastic in my muddy estuary waters 😜😂😂…. lure bass fishing has completely opened my mind to trying something different as there’s no hard an fast rule book to these amazing fish 👍👍😎😎🌞🌞🇬🇧🇬🇧 good vid mate, and I’ll be giving the weedless sa dells a def go 👍

Agree, I have had plenty of good bass fishing days with bright sunshine etc., my biggest bass came when it lovely weather etc., but I didn't want to "date" the video as such............we were filming a couple of weeks ago, after weeks of high pressure and flat calm seas, plus the bass fishing definitely hasn't kicked off around here yet

well i went and bought the white one and yes they look the part but Henry I've got to say what a pile of 💩only cast it half a dozen times and the thing was falling apart.Just feel very let down with this lure.ive heard of someone else having the same problem.I look forward to see what you say regarding this issue.

Has anyone ever seen this dude catch on the savage gear lures? He keeps saying its not "ideal" conditions! Surely if your gonna promote a bait you should do it in "ideal" conditions. It's like Nash promoting the bread bomb in a storm it's pointless.

Everytime I see a hook hanging off a rod ring in one of your videos, I wince. A fisherman of your calibre (especially with the pricey rods you use) really ought know better

If he paid for the rods himself instead of them being gifted in exchange for in his words “a favourable blog post” he might look after his gear more carefully!
