Best true metal band in the world right now!!! All of them are so talented!! Just love Miho and Haruna. They crush!!

The keyboard in the background is a recorded track, played by Miyako--she does all their keys. I always love watching peoples' faces when they hit that slow burn solo of hers. The contrast between the two guitarists is one of the hallmarks of this band--they're both apex shredders but they bring such different feelings to the music.

You're getting close to the truth with the Slayer and Metallica references. They've said they studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween etc. and it's clear they pretty much aced it all. If you do enough of their stuff, you will hear echoes of all those bands, but I’d say they’re taking it to another level. The Force lives in these women!

You, dude are having way too much fun with these Lovebites reactions, then again, you are hearing the glory days of 80's metal being re-spawned into a fresh new sound by these insanely talented women so I see why you are enjoying yourself. Great appreciation for all the fine point and the flawless execution especially LIVE by these members. Shout out to Haruna/drummer who keep them driving on every song. I want to see the boy bands play this well in high heels for 2 hours!!! They maybe short in stature but NOBODY stands taller on stage performing than these women!!!

The piano etude is the intro to the song Swan Song.... best to try and listen to them together.

Swan Song is entirely separate, though. The Etude is used as a lead-in for this one show. Personally I prefer they watch Swan first, just to see their surprise when they learn that Miyako is actually primarily a pianist.

Lovebites captures the essence of those golden 80s like no one else can today, and they take it to the highest level. Good reaction but don't take too long, continue with the next song in this video, Shadowmaker, it's the best live version available on yt \m/

Great reaction, so far. ( 5:38 your vid) That is midori on the left playing the first solo, one of my favorites. She is 'breaking the wall' with that solo! Note that she ends the solo seamlessly transitioning to the arpeggiated rhythm, drastically changing the mood of the song, then joined by miho's bass in preparation for miyako's Gary Moore-esque solo. I can find no fault in anything they do. Thanks for promoting LOVEBITES and including link to original video. 10:29 Yeah, honestly, I unsubscribed yesterday when I realized it had been 2 weeks ... re-subscribed with your assurance "that will not happen again" ... at one-a-week you're set for 10 months, IF nothing new ... try "Edge of the World": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fK2Cq7t0qdq2dnU.html starts as piano (miyako) & vocal (asami) ballad, very progressive musically, ends as full-tilt power-metal, phenomenal lyrics with [cc] for subtitles. Enjoy

Surely a touch of Gary Moore in Miyako's solo. She is a big fan of his and it's probably why she used a Gibson Les Paul for this solo, his favoured guitar. She usually plays Dean guitars. You can also hear Miyako's classical background in many of her compositions for Lovebites.

Yeah they've got that effect to melt your face and to left you speechless Try Hammer of wrath is similar to Break the wall. But if you want to see the other side of them check the song Epilogue. Also Rise some hell, We the United, Shadowmaker, Edge of the world, Burden of time, Liar. Dancing with the devil. Enjoy it.

There is no denying that this girls are incredibly talented from a technical point of view. But they are also great song writers, and the two things do not necessarly always go togheter. I am amazed, I am amused and I am happy to see this.

These girls are brutal! Let me suggest something - The last song of the video (Piano Etude) its not really a song, its an intro to a song called Swan Song (the full intro + song video got taken down from YT sadly), so when you react to it do both the Piano Etude intro + Swan Song, they belong together! Hope that wasn't confusing. Loving your reactions to this amazing band. Stay safe.
@hiawatha.g
@hiawatha.g 3 жыл бұрын
Technically, the piano Etude is actually a stand-alone piece: the "Revolutionary Etude" by Frédéric Chopin. Miyako composed "Swan Song" using elements of both the Etude and a piece by Antonin Dvořák, and then she sandwiched "Swan Song" between them. It's a level of compositional brilliance almost unheard of in the rock world.
@taknothing4896
@taknothing4896 3 жыл бұрын
@@hiawatha.g I'll second all that except that they are pretty obviously intended to go together. It reminds me a bit of how the Beatles or Frank Zappa would fit compositions together. Taken as a whole, this is one of the things that puts Lovebites onto an entirely different level than just about anybody else currently active.
@hiawatha.g

@@taknothing4896 that's actualy what I was trying to get at. She uses elements of classical compoisitions and incorporates them into her songs, then lets you hear where those ideas came from. I think we are in violent agreement!

Japanese bands seem to have excellent sound engineers. The way the backing is in perfect time with the live performers is amazing. With the likes of BabyMetal, you have a main singer and two (now one) backing singer, a live band and BabyMetal, have a lot of backing in their songs but hearing them live, even on small stages, it all syncs up perfectly. It is the same with Band Maid, but they do not use that much backing in their live shows but again, it all syncs. Lovebites, demonstrate this in this song with the keyboard part and other live songs, you hear strings, synths etc, all in perfect sync. Very different from my day when you had an analogue tape player in the background and the bands hoped it would all keep in reasonable time :-)
@timgove5337
@timgove5337 3 жыл бұрын
The real difficulty / talent is the musicians following the track, whether it starts at the beginning or is manually triggered along the way. Many rock purists hate this, because failure sucks, and success can make it stale, take the “breath” out of a live performance. But the real truck is to keep time with the track yet still have a dynamic live performance. Many big bands do this, the bigger the show the more likely. But it’s a hump some bands to get over as they learn it, and Japanese seem to commit to & embrace that (& hence a big entertains production) early in their careers
@Glynthepin
@Glynthepin 3 жыл бұрын
@@timgove5337 For me, it depends on the band as a general view. Band Maid and Lovebites, I rather there was not any backing but BabyMetal and as you say, stadium performances from the likes of Within Temptation, Nightwish, I am happy with backing.

Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in world. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. Diana Ankudinova is now only 17 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice. Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl: Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. It's absolutely amazing.
