his fans from mid 80s to 92 kept his career going and he even interacted with them by going fan club days out at things like go karting and laser tagging. changed days indeed

Yes I remember the early 80's to 90's and Gary's interaction with fans, he used to tell us where we could see him or his mom Beryl would, lovely lady. We would see him at air shows the fan club conventions etc he was always pleased to see us and polite signing anything and everything, I stopped going to them as married life etc meant busy life, still glad to see him now on next tour, just like the old days eh?

Changed? He just said he still does meet and greets and interacts with fans. He just doesn't want to read online comments because a lot of them are negative.

Thanks for posting this, good interview, I know Gary gets stick because he is honest, he always has been truthful, but as he knows he can never do right from wrong, just the same for all of us, who cares what people think?, that's what gives us our own opinion, Thanks Gary for your honesty, the great memories I have shared over the last 38 years, and I look forward to the next set of memories created by seeing you next month in concert, bring it on...I enjoyed this frank interview, long may you reign Mr Gary Numan.

Great post Numan being exceptionally humble as always he's totally got the right attitude Top man as well he really is very approachable. I was at that Telekon gig it was Blindin as was The Replicas one!!

The Gary Numan Digest was great in the ‘90s . He was interactive on that and it was interesting, funny, informative but it did get odd at times so I can’t say I blame him .

When he was at the height of his fame, he said he didn't owe his fans anything and was retiring from live shows and the music business to concentrate on flying. Que. End of career and massive debts and he suddenly loves his fans. I wonder why.? ££$$$$$$$$$

That's bollocks. His media stats tell him if the overall interaction is positive. For the business, you need to gauge the number of plays, shares and exposure. The small detail has no relevance to what the objective of the artists is. He has a product to promote (music, concerts etc) and the number of units sold, downloaded, tickets sold is the way to measure it. He could not have put his explanation better. I personally would let curiosity get the better of me and do selective reading, but it's far better just to leave it. There are a lot of knob heads out there.
