... is that bad? I've heard that VCSO girls are evil from not so dumb people, yet can't be a threat no matter what angle of light, comparing to most modern feminists, which is cataclysmic on seemingly all angles, unless it's before the wage gap got fixed (WHICH IT DID YA FARCE, YOU'RE COMPARING A NURSERY TO A SOLDIER!). In other words, anything goes really!

@johtotrainermax20374 жыл бұрын
(This is all meant to be a sick joke. Don't take it seriously) You have not seen the things I've seen, Penne. Feminists comparing the pay of a soldier to a child care group, demanding more money but never becoming a soldier. Females openly stating that men are useless when they're pathetic. Obese females saying they are the purest of females, yet not liking fat males for the same reason we hate fat females. Those sick, hypocritical fucks. I could imagine them all being obese and "pure" females, complaining about the patriarchy, as they grasp for air, with their last thought being "Fuck men". But one thing is certain. Equality isn't enough. Nothing is. That is what I mean, Professor. Feminism i- no, not feminism. *MODERN* Feminism is what I mean. I wish punching a female wasn't as bad as punching a male. I'd love to punch those retards right in their non-existent tits, making them even more non-existent

You know that was a lie about him not being happy with the sound capabilities? It was a PR cover up. Think about it, Moonwalker had already been released on the Mega Drive in 1990, containing his music.

Thing is, this level of quality relies on actually having high quality samples for the percussion and the voice. Samples of this quality would take up so much room on the cart you wouldn't have a game. I have a hard time believing that Michael Jackson didn't like the Mega Drive sound hardware given that there was a certain Moonwalker game starring himself, boasting some neat renditions of his very own tracks such as "Beat It" or "Another Part of Me" and which was released way before Sonic 3 & Knuckles on the same system so he already knew, at least to some extent, how good the Mega Drive could sound! Furthermore, he was a fan of Galaxy Force II (he even has the arcade cab' @his house) and while the Mega Drive port wasn't very well optimized visually-speaking, on the other hand the soundtrack rendition is fabulous and maybe that he was aware about this too. So overall, he clearly knew that things were going to be good so that rumor hardly makes sense... ... Although, although it's true that the voice samples used in some of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles tracks are quite scratchy which can be a bit disappointing since higher clarity could have been achieved as some other games such as Robocop vs. The Terminator show (check the track "Flight Term" for instance used in the first stage). Then another thing that I wanted to point out is that the quality achieved in this cover by Savaged Regime can also be achieved within the game, on the Mega Drive hardware. Every covers from this channel are made with genuine Mega Drive specs in mind and can be played alongside a game running. Lastly, it's funny to still see some people claiming that the Mega Drive sound "is quite inferior to the SNES" when there are so many games from back then that sound as good if not better than SNES' best (Sonic 1, Streets of Rage 2, Thunder Force IV, Gauntlet or Mega Turrican just to name a few) and in the meantime the Mega Drive is still pushed further as Demos such as Overdrive 2, homebrews such as Xeno Crisis or tons of music covers from everywhere show! Anyway I don't know the OG "Launch Base Zone Act 1" track yet so I can't tell how this cover compares but it's a rad, funky tune nonetheless. edit: I just listened to the OG tune. It's such a good track, sooo 90s. Now compared to this cover, I prefer the original for a few reasons, mainly the more pronounced hi-hats and the little notes that start at 5 seconds, just before the voices, and which sound more "Sonic-esque" in the original. On the other hand this cover has nicely tweaked percussions and voices.
@tammura22letsplays4 жыл бұрын
michael jackson loved sonic games so surely he loved the music in the previous sonic games aswell, of course there are different stories about why michael leaved. Mega drive/genesis soundchip needs alot of practise, same goes to the snes soundchip, i actually believe if michael didnt like the soundchip sound he probably just got dissapointed about the scratchy samples beacuse the other channels do fine and clean sounds that does not hurt your ears. Maybe the limitation was another thing, but as i said there are different stories
@therealinferno1614 жыл бұрын
Heck, the scratchy samples aren't all the hardware's fault. It's mostly the software's fault. All 3 Sonic games had not-so-well optimized code for the DAC/PCM (sample) channel, meaning, that if anything, if Micheal did leave due to how it sounded, it would of been him leaving due to how horrible the sound driver can be at times, and that the sound samples sound scratchy.
@bsgsmusic34514 жыл бұрын
A) Michael Jackson probably had little to do with Moonwalker aside from allowing SEGA to use his likeness B) Playing a video game isn’t the same thing as making one. He may have had enjoyed playing Thunder Force and the Sonic games, but had little to know knowledge of how those games are made and the limitations of working with the Mega Drive’s hardware.

to each their own but IMO there are many way more important things savaged regime could spend his time on these covers are great but Sonic 3 & Knuckles soundtrack is *already* great turrican on the other hand, the mega drive port is the best-looking version but the music could have been sooo much better. there's already a hack that brings the life bar's depletion rate back to its original pace (this was the other issue about this port) but if savaged regime would remaster the soundtrack, wow, this would make for an awesome version of this cult classic game! another priority that springs to mind would be to rework xenon 2's main theme which sounds cheap compared to what it could have been. PCM samples could be used for the voices/scratches/snares and the rest with FM/PSG goodness. could be awesome too! then completely unrelated but some covers of the quake II soundtrack would be ace and totally suited to the mega drive style
