Agreed. I thought the same thing when I was there. Most of it is stunning and even the hoods barely had any trash and didn’t really see any urban blight in the housing. Such an impressive city

@@djkell78 When I was there they had a group of car club guys at night with their cars lit up with neon lights flashing, across from the hotel and the park with the waiving girl. Interesting place. My grandmother lives there but I haven't spoken to her in years, lost contact.

Well, parts of the city are very beautiful, other parts are very poor and rundown (my mom's from Savannah, and if anything the city is in a lot better shape than when I was a kid and we would visit in the 80's and 90's). The apartment complex with the overflowing dumpster, for example, is the Frazier Homes projects, and it's only a few blocks west of Forsyth Park, which is an incredibly beautiful park with massive mansions all around it. Have a look on Google street view and you'll see what I mean.

@poet215 dude that place is brutal. Go out at night and get caught slacking you will catch stray rounds or someone who is trigger happy if they don't know you in the section 8 housing or hood.

I got out around 2014 too lived all over savannah since I was like 21 on and off miss it still but prob wouldn't want to be there all the time

The city smells like a swamp,.the drivers are horrible, best city in GA but that doesn't say much for a suckhole state. I even like Alabama more.
