Salute to Savarkar! Harijan toh hum sab hai!! We are all the children of God. And, Savarkar wanted to get rid of caste system. And, MKG wanted to keep caste system so that he can continue to keep talking about they being treated badly, and in the process they moved away from Sanatana Dharam and were being converted to other religions.

According to my understanding savarkar's views and ideology was more efficient and powerful for winning our freedom. Whereas gandhi's ideology seems as if it would only widen the gap of divisions within the hindu community. This understanding is based on following reasons:- Gandhi believed that casteism was neccessary and that untouchability was the real evil. BR ambedkar wanted to eradicated casteism and the only obstacle in his path was Gandhi. Casteism is nothing but a form of division itself and Gandhi wanted to keep that sort of division intact while eradicating the evils that were sprouting within the divisions.

FYI. Savarkar, Tilak and Vivekananda all were against caste sys but the point mentioned by Gandhi is not far from what they believed. Like Gandhi said "hindu dharm bikharne se bacha hai" now this is also what many believe. Caste system was strong opposition to rising Buddhism(not going into details if it spread top down or bottom up) and Savarkar believed that if India had become Buddhist it would have had same fate as Afganistan which became budhist and then Muslim. But Savarkar being Savarkar understood that the caste sys itself had to go and removing untouchability wont solve the issue this was to stop conversions. Ambedkar widely shared same views but given no effort from INC he chose Buddhism

Gandhi said didn't want caste system to be abolished. He was against untouchability, but still wanted caste system. Vinayak supported recoversions on will. Many who wanted to reconvert, which were few, were not allowed by brahmins. Also it's ahimsa v/s violence for freedom. Savarkar is asking for revenge for Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

He was never a freedom fighter once he was released from jail after writing multiple mercy petitions. Instead he was spewing communal venom against our own people. Caste system and manuvadi ideology is what he vouched for. Its joke what is being shown in this clip. He had alleged hand in killing Gandhi. @@aastikojha7468 Tell me one Indian Freedom fighter who stayed in jail for 10 years. What he went through for the country cannot be repayed by us enough. But then there are one sided thinking people like you who just read and understand one side of the history. Savarkar only gave mercy petitions after years in jail. The jail term was extremely punishing and he didnt have an easy symbolic jail terms like Nehru or Gandhi. If you say , you know history, first learn to acknowledge that it is grey and not black or white.

Very Informative.. there is NO doubt that the brutal & fanatic Islamic Mughal rule in India faced stiff resistance at different periods from the great RAJPUT warriors, fierce AHOM warriors from Assam & from Punjab the brave SIKH warriors...India's strength lies in Unity in Diversity. Rightly did the great Hindi Poet Bhushana, who forsook the royal favours of the Mughal court to come over to Shivaji to record his glories, he sang :-“काशी की कला जाती, मथुरा की मसजीद बनती, अगर शिवाजी ना होते तो सबकी सुन्नत होती.” meaning : (Had not there been Shivaji, Kashi would have lost its culture,Mathura would have been turned into a mosque and all would have been circumcised.) If not for Shivaji and the Marathas, there would have existed a continuous Islamic belt from Morocco to Indonesia. What addition of 1 billion more adherents to Islam would have done to the world power balance or what would have happened to Indian legacy like yoga, ayurveda, music, art and philosophy, is not difficult to guess…. It is worthwhile examining the 'what if' of Indias history, Aurengzeb, Akbars great great grandson, had embarked on the 'Islamisation' of India. The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra... Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. In 1761, the PANIPAT war was lost to the Afghans but Marathas RECOVERED quickly like phoenix bird within 10 years and brought the whole of North Indian again under their control during the 1770's under leadership of Madhavrao Peshwa.. Eventually, the Marathas grew stronger and fought the British in three Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-82, 1803-05, 1817-18), In the First Anglo-Maratha War (1775-1782) the Marathas emerged Victorious. A Vijay Stambh (Victory Pillar) erected to commemorate Maratha victory over British is located at Vadgaon/Wadgaon Maval, close to the city of Pune. The 2nd and 3rd were subsequently lost and British established themselves which was followed by the Uprising of 1857 .
