Thanks for the info. I'm looking for land now, and have a tiny house to move and add on to, so this is good to have in the back of my mind.

Would like to learn about "pit set" foundation for mobile homes. I saw some were elaborate, involving a perimeter stem wall on which the outside edge of the mobile home would sit (is that how they work?) and others did not involve such a perimeter stem wall, and had a the pit dug, the home just to set on the metal stands on squares of plastic material (instead of cement footings), and with pressure treated wood skirting the edge of the home and down into the edges of the pit to keep the dirt from falling into the pit -- seems a stem wall, solid poured concrete or some concrete blocks on poured footers (though strong footers seem unnecessary, as the concrete blocks are not supporting any downward weight, but maybe it is good to put down footers anyway), and maybe such a concrete stem wall around the perimeter doesn't have to be strong at all, as it is only preventing dirt from falling into the pit, and isn't really supporting anything. So what are the options on "pit setting" a mobile home, creating a crawl space, and making it look more like a stick built? What will that add to the cost?

Our home dealer told us none of this. We have bad crawfish and the dealer crew did no crown at all. Do you have anyone you can recommend in Conroe to fix a botched job?

hi! I have a property in El Paso. I'm going to demolish what is currently there and plan to setup about 4-6 mobile homes. It's desert and it does have a ligh to normal slope. What type of site prepping would you recommend? It is outside the county. I see other parks with no prep and all bunched up together....I don't want to do it that way. I want to do it right. Thank you!!

Concrete slopes 6-8” every couple of feet? That’s pretty steep. You need to rethink that.

I think he meant to say 6 to 8 inches of drop every 10 feet.. making a slope angle around 5 to 7. But I don't know.
