The advantage of flying via UAE is that you can also get a transit visa for 48 hours for just ₹1999. It’s an e-visa which you can apply for before your trip starts. P.S. the final flight cost as per this reel is ₹31,000 and along with visa it’s ₹33,000 and I’ve used this route as an example that you can find good flight deals by breaking up the trip as opposed to flying all the way from India. As a bonus, you can also spend time in Abu Dhabi if you like or depart straight away from the airport keeping enough time in between for immigration and self transfer. P.S. you may not get additional baggage in this route if you are travelling with check in luggage, so check and book once you look into all details. Misleading video. The low fares from Abu Dhabi to Rome are in Wizz Air with 0 baggage. The moment you add check-in luggage and cabin luggage, the price will more than double.. Also, the 48-hour transit visa in Abu Dhabi is completely free.

Just remember that some Airlines don't have codeshare agreement with others so you will have to transfer your checked in luggage from flight 1 to flight 2 yourself when transiting via Middle East. And you would need transit visa for this (If you have a valid Schengen or USA/UK visa then transit visa might not be required) Avoid WizzAir for connections, they don't accept transit passengers.

Don't forget to mention. Cost for the 2 suitcases + time spend at layovers ( the stress and discomfort ) to risk for save 20k. Better spend the 60K in a direct KLM flight from delhi or mumbai to AMS.

These low cost carriers charges extra for bags, I remember paying 20000 for Madrid to Budapest on which 4000 was for ticket and ticket 16 for bags

Tanya. It's not a hack. You discovered this late. SOTC was doing this for decades to minimize costs for Indians travelling to Europe.

Thats simply the fare difference between direct flight and one stop flight. Try 2 stop flights, you will even get cheaper ones.

Come to any eastern eu country cuz they have less tourists as compared to western ans then you can travel by any domestic flight usually costs around 8- 15 euro . Ps use trains best of the best

It does work but trust me summer in Europe is worth to visit but it costs more. Being in Italy I am looking for India flights from Milan and it's come down until or unless you break the flight and take layover of 1 day in the middle

I am a frequent traveler and I can confirm this hack works. My only concern is you should also lay out all the gotchas, like if you miss your initial flight to abu Dhabi, or are delayed beyond departure of your toward flight. the onward trip company is NOT liable to comepensate you for that flight second flight and neither is the airlines which flies you to abu Dhabi. So you need a big buffer both ways. Basically you are saving money by spending more time in travel. Do your full research before using such hacks, they work but with constraints.

This is only feasible for travel vloggers who have flexibility of extending their trip and don't have to worry about taking extra leaves from their work. This way of travelling is very painful and eventually you will end up missing flights, paying extra for hotel charges(layover), additional visa complexity. Its only fruitful if you really want to visit dubai/abudhabi or instanbul(common layovers) for 2-3 days along with your europe trip.

You are missing out on the Transit Visa requirement, most of the times airlines will ask you to book under one pnr, they ask for final destination

By Wizz air or other cheap European airlines don't allow check-in baggage if you wish to take it will be expensive enough.

This work many a times ..... Reason is when u search source to destination.. system will try to get shortest and fastest root without transit visa ... And that's why it is costly... If you closely breakdown every stop and connected flights everything will be clear. By the way software engineer and designer who are setting dynamic pricing are way more smarter then traveler. You need to have same pnr throughout your flight as you said you fly from Delhi to Abu Dhabi and then to Rome.You have to get two tickets with separate PNR. In that case you have to Check -in your luggage again in Abu Dhabi and for that you have your leave transit zone.So either you need a transit visa or you cannot do so.
