I've always particularly liked the Class 313/4/5/507/8 body shells, they're surprisingly modern looking and I remember being quite surprised when I first learned just how old they were. It's really nice to see a 507 preserved. I've only travelled on them a handful of times not being from Liverpool but they've always intrigued me.

Good forward thinking re fitting it out with batteries. It would be a mammoth project, but battery costs are set to plummet as the world switches over to battery power.

Hi There Again my real Name is Mr Cannadine T. Boxill-Harris, I have another interesting idea for most of us Class 507, Class 508, Class 313, and Class 314 and that also includes those interesting Class 315 Fans out there, rather than scrapping most of those Class 507, Class 508, Class 313's Class 314 including the Class 315's maybe you guys can convert them. Including the refurbishment into the Volvo TD102KF Engine, Leyland 680 Engine, Volvo B10M Engine, Scania N112 Engine, Cummins M11 Engine, Gardner LG1200 Engine, Gardner 6LXB Engine, Gardner 8LXB Engine, Class 507, Class 508, Class 313's, Class 314's and the Class 315's and convert all of them into a 2 Carriages and Three Carriages of the Class 313's, Class 314's and that is including those Class 315's for most of us Class 314 and Class 315 Diesel Train Fans PLEASE. Are you still going to do this interesting type of Project for all of us out there Pretty Please?

A relatively modern electric train from Liverpool, relocated miles away on short track in Shropshire, as a tourist attraction? How can that be made to cover its costs? Can’t see that being economically sustainable for its new owners.

Considering 37’s and others are still in use under 50 is not too old. I’m 51 so old enough to remember the 502’s and 503’s I also remember the first time I saw a 507, maybe 507001 at Birkdale. These were comparatively boneshakers compared to the soft sprung 502/3’s.

2m41s...508s worked on southern before delivery up north and went for a second life in kent for conex...just a fact check.... Good look with project

He is talking about the 507s. They only ever worked Merseyside.

@@Merseywail I under stand but 507 508s to most are the same...and in later life became interchangeable unlike early days....Good look with the venture....is this the only attempt of a 80s PEP train saving?

@@grahamallen1970 whilst they are very similar there was differences, but not noticeable to most. The order for the 507s should have been much larger, around 45 of them. This was cut down to 30 due to cancellation of the outer loops. Three more were added at the request of Merseyside Transport bringing the total of 33 507s

Yes they seem fairly new still, but they are over 40 years old and currently the oldest passenger trains in the UK.

This is the second generation 3 car class 507001 was previously allocated to ME - Merseyrail in Merseyside in the northwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 with other classes 507s and 508s that ran between Liverpool in Merseyside and Chester in Cheshire in the northwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. At present 💝 dated Thursday 30th May 2024, there must be around down ⬇️ to 11 x 3 car class 507s are on the railway 🚃 line. All of the 3 car class 507s and 508s are have previously and currently being replaced by the brand new 🆕 4 car class 777s are delivered to ME -Merseyrail. All of ME - Merseyrail trains 🚂 🚆 🚊 have standard class accommodation only, no toilets 🚾 🚻 🚽 , bins 🗑️ 🚮 provided, automatic operating doors 🚪 and all accommodation is no smoking 🚭 because it’s prohibited 🚫 on all trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 around the world 🗺️ 🌏 🌎 🌍 . The old class 507s and 508s have open windows 🪟. ME - Merseyrail runs its services everyday and bank 🏦 holidays except Christmas 🎄🧑‍🎄 🎅 🤶 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day. Smoking 🚬 is not permitted at all railway 🚃 stations 🚉 around the world 🗺️ 🌎 🌍 🌏 . The reason why no smoking 🚭 happens is because it can 👌 cause a fire 🔥 on the train 🚆 🚊 🚂 and I’m not joking 🙃. It’s a smoke 🚬 💨 free 🆓 environment is like 👍 ❤️ this ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ 🚭. 👍
