I was there with my mother and brother. I saw a boy carrying two ice creams, I was more than jealous because I did not have one. Then suddenly he tripped and fell dropping both ice creams on the ground. About 35 years later I was working in the Isle of Man and we started to discuss the first Hovercraft service. One of my colleagues said 'I was there and I bought two ice creams and tripped and fell over!' I said 'Yes ,I saw you fall.'

I remember eating at Sheldrakes a decade or so ago & the amount of obviously abandoned boats in this beautiful landscape was an eyesore. So, this is not a new phenomenon, which begs the question how many were leaking fuel into this environmentally sensitive area back then.

I lived in Eldon Gardens as a young kid... we lived on the top floor. I remember the lifts smelling of 'wee' if they were working, otherwise being hauled up the stairs in my pram by my poor Mum. I got rushed to hospital with Peritonitis. My memories of living there. And I watched the demolition... I was 8 at the time. I laughed because I thought it was my toilet I saw falling...! I haven't lived in any palaces as such since... I was born into this... 😢

Footage of Wirral from the early 80s is very interesting to see these days. Even though it doesn't seem that long ago, a lot of subtle changes happen we don't even realise, even in our everyday localities. It would be great to see video footage and stills of Wirral from this period of recent history. There's lots of stuff on social media from the 60s and earlier, but the 1980s seems to be ignored.

This Cavern Club is revisionist history. They could have saved the original footprint, but didn't want to spend the money, so they said it was too structurally unsound. What?? But they were able to build something else below a part of it? The entrance and stage aren't even near the original spot, and the new main floor is many feet deeper than the original, but it was built with "the original saved bricks?... so that gives it credibility.. LOL. Don't be fooled.

Chester citizens vote Reform. Look how are great city has been run down with trade once a thriving shopping center now look at it. Empty. Conservative s and now Labour have waste money , put up council taxes, focused on the universities needs not local needs , the planning department has passed plans to convert a near full community the Garden quarter in to flats that once homed family's since the 1800 s they have turned their back on familys that need houses to accommodate the university its a disgrace, a whole community Ruined . They joined Cheshire West , but the people were not asked. And look now we dont have a say in anything form what I can see. Were ruled by Cheshire West. Considering Chester is the only City were second class citiizens in the council. Chester needs to leave Cheshire West council for the long term. Vote Reform.

Labour will turn our country into a wasteland with Net 0 the little industry we have will go, they're giving ethnic minorities promises to get their votes, Starmer has no respect for women's spaces, NHS Nurses have males in their changing room, Labour are career politicians they want power at any cost, they will not work for the majority of working class Brits. Vote Reform.

I could never vote for a racist party. Whilst the failure of Tory’s and Brexit, their austerity which has permeated every facet of life, the bland Labour Party, will soon loose its way. The poverty and decline, walk any high street. The gulf between the rich and the rest in the UK is also stark. Oxfam’s analysis found that the richest 1% of Britons hold more wealth than 70 per cent of Britons, while the four richest Britons have more wealth than 20 million Britons.

Improved cheaper public transport will better help with pollution etc Make carriages more comfortable open old railway lines and lay new ones. Years ago there were enclosed carriages where you could relax comfortabley and walk the length of long trains far cleaner than producing expensive cars and clogged up roads...
