well, I'm surprised ... a year ago, I did my homework and checked all the other DAWs on the market (there were some 8 or 9 I think) and after doing that (it took me 2 months time, 1 DAW per week) I came to the following outcome : Studio One was the most intuitive and the most easy to get into. That's why I decided to purchase my Studio One license. I'm not saying it is the best solution for everyone (because this is pretty subjective), I'm saying it is the best solution for me. I can understand that some people may hate me for that, but when I opened Ableton (for example) it was like being on another planet. I had no idea where to start. This was actually my worst experience and it took me a lot of time and effort to get into it at least somehow. I had to watch ton of instruction videos first to be able to do anything in that software. The rest of the DAWs were simply "definitely not bad, but not exactly my taste for different reasons". The Reason (I also use Reason DAW by the way) and the deciding moment for me (in the end) was : in which DAW I can immediately start working and create my own workflow without watching tons of videos or read 500 pages manuals : and it was Studio One.

Studio One, while not my first DAW, has been very intuitive and easy to learn in my opinion.Once you learn to trust it, it all gets so much easier

To be honest I wanted a straightforward no nonsense workflow back in 2013 and then I found studio one and the simplicity of getting things done is without constantly using menu's was great and I'm still using it 😎👊🏿👊🏿

Will studio one ever include surround and Atmos mixing capabilities. I do post production work and love working in studio one, would be great to not have to switch between DAW’s.

Studio One has reignited my passion for all facets of Audio production. I spent 7 long years being frustrated with CUBASE (9-12). Gregor, S1 is da bomb. I love it! Thanks for these great tips.

Hi Gregor - you and Joe are amazing!! Could you do a video on the numerous file components that are saved in a song file such as cache, media, history, autosave files, images, etc. ? I see these often in the file directory where my songs are saved, and sometimes they get disconnected from the original song file and I can't put them back together. Also, I often open older project files and get the message that a list of .wav files are missing, in the find dialog box. I think this happens when I try to save multiple versions of the same song in the same folder. a video on how to avoid this from happening would be very helpful!

I have been using Studio One for nearly two years and find it to be user-friendly and straightforward. In fact, I feel right at home with it. Studio One offers an excellent blend of Logic and Pro-tools, making it easy to work with both MIDI and audio material. The tutorials available on the platform are also incredibly helpful in understanding the software quickly.

When I started with DAWs in 2018, I worked in Cubase (apologies for swearing), but I then got Studio One, and i found it a lot easier to learn and work in than my other DAW, I'm currently on Studio One 6, and doubt I will ever use anything other than this, apart from updating if needs be. To me Studio One is far easier to learn, even as a novice who has never used a DAW before

I'm glad I started fl studio 11. I was able to take the whole experience with me in studion one. It didn't take long and I was able to find my way around studio one. Now I only produce my beats in fl studio but everything else like recording voice, editing, mixing and mastering the songs in studio one 6. I love studio one 6, it's getting easier and easier to use, I can't live without this DAW and I'll stay with it for eternity. ✌️😎

The only thing I wish this function did was also save the sends/bus channels along with it. Because mixing down (drums especially) will end up through that routing, not in the individual channels

Hello Gregor. Thank you for all his very well explained tutorials. I have 2 questions for you. For the first, do you have a Preset of the drum sound presented in this video. I find it great! For the second question, I have SO pro 6 but I can't find the "input filter" plugin that we can see and what is it for? Thanking you. Pascal from Paris, France (Translated by Google Translate)

Maschine translate: Make it in Studio one so that you can save a set of plugins (possibly effects) by default. For example: with each instrument, the default Pro Q or plugin chain was automatically loaded on the channel, this would reduce the time if I use a specific plugin on each instrument.
@jenyok2008
@jenyok2008 Жыл бұрын
It’s not convenient when automation opens on the channel itself (on top of the events), and is not opened from the bottom ... If you set a large buffer, automation will be written with an offset, and not as it was written. Automation is not a sound, it could be implemented, in Ableton, for example, there are no problems with this ... The rest is super convenient, thanks

Studio One isn't hard to learn; at least if you compare it to Pro Tools, Cubase /Nuendo, or Ableton. It's almost idiot poof: I've hardly ever read the manual. (Not a good idea thought.) I'm not very technical. What Studio One has done, is allowed more than one (useful) way to achieve the desired result.
