Excellent video! Quick question: I would like to perform 'actions' , so a prerecorded set of changes to an image. Is there a way to do this with Inkscape?

As far as I know, that currently isn't possible in Inkscape, but since they've recently been adding more Illustrator-like features, hopefully prerecorded actions will be in a future release!

Hello, 👋 I love your videos! The best I’ve found so far. Please how do I layer/ intersect two texts? Example “boy” on top of “Mama” to be able to cut them separately but layered. I hope am making sense 😅

Thanks! In order to do intersection (or any path operation) on a text object, you first have to turn all of the text object's letters into a single path: select the text object, go to Path -> Object to Path, ungroup the paths by going to Object -> Ungroup, then turn them into a single path by going to Path -> Union.

sir could you please make a video on intersection and how to make design that intersect each other using intersection for instance two 3d rings that are intersecting each other where you can guide us with intersections fundamental.

Hi Brandon, your channel has become a must for me... and this post is priceless!! I created this new filter, it works perfectly. But... because there is a but... all the submenus are now duplicated... Let me explain: I click on "filters" in the menu bar, the list of submenus appears, including including the new title ("integrated" in the French version), everything is fine. When I hover over another submenu, the subsubmenus appear, but double. Not sure my explanation is very clear... If anyone has an explanation or a remedy, I'm all ears! Love from rainy Geneva, Anne

I found the answer, thanks to DoctorMo : the backup copy of filters.svg has to be moved away from the filters folder.

Thank you for this video! I followed some ideas and pretty quickly figured out how to use most of those filter effects. However, I'm puzzled with one thing: I paid attention to the predefined filters with the labels followed by "...". That's it, those are the filters with dialog windows, with the forms the user has to fill in before applying the filter. All other filters are found in the Inkscape's filters.svg, but I could not find even the traces of those filters with dialogs in all Inkscape-related files. Could you enlighten me on this matter? And is it possible to create similar dialogs for the custom filters.

Your process for copy /paste the inkscape data from the system prefs is demonstrated for windows users and I have a mac and can't figure out how and where to paste the share info. Please advise, as I'm stuck here. Thank you!

I did some searching and it looks like the filters file should be located here: ~/.config/inkscape/filters
