I know a lot of people say "I could never foster, it would be too hard to let them go." Keep in mind that giving them away leaves room for more lives to be saved. The best thing someone has ever said to me was this: *Letting my heart break a little means that theirs never has to again.* Edit: I just wanted to say that it is by NO MEANS easy to do what's best for something/someone you love. I cry EVERY single time I have to surrender one of my little fosters to a good home, no matter the time or effort I put into making them feel at home for a little while. It is unbelievably hard to foster. But the rewards and the feeling you get when you get to say "I gave someone a forever home, and now I get to do it again" is incomparable to anything else.

Tetley reminds me of a kitten I fostered named Dawn. Dawn was the runt of her litter, and was all black a super lovable. She died when she was 2 weeks old. I'm so happy that Tetley can have the long life that Dawn didn't get to have, she is very lucky to have been in your care.

I've been fostering for about a year now. It's such an amazing expirience.

I have a rescue story to tell! A while back, when my gray calico was a small kitten, she got herself into a bad situation. She was a VERY adventurous little one. Once, we had maintenance come over, and at one point they had to go and get supplies from their truck, they accidentally left the door open and my kitten escaped. We didn't know she was gone until maintenance left and we were watching TV, and we realized that she wasn't snuggling with us like she normally does when we watched shows together. We searched all over the house and couldnt find her. I think it was my brother who had the idea to go check outside and we did. Now at this time, it was winter, and I was living in New York so the snow could pile up largely which is bad for a small kitten. We followed what seemed like to be pawprints in the snow, it lead to the side of the deck. We assumed that she had crawled under the deck for safety. That's when everything got tense. First, we tried to lore her out with food and gentle coos, but it didn't work. We even had my mom's friend come over to our house with a hammer to try to make a hole in the side. Eventually, my family gave up and went inside, but I wasn't done. I sat in the snow for HOURS, patiently waiting for the right moment for her to stick her head out and I could grab her by the scruff. Despite me saying that I was being "patient" I was also extremely tense. My street had large stray cats, we even had one come up to our house, most of them were females though, so I wasn't to worried on this topic. There was a small forest behind our backyard that a lot of large birds like to hang out in though, and I even heard there was snakes. I kept staying by the porch, and I kept trying to call out to her, she responded with terrified and squeaky meows but she never poked her head out. I just contuied to sit there, from time to time I would get up to fill up the bowl of cat food that I kept holding out or putting on more snow gear, and I would come back to birds peeking in the hole, and I would come out screaming at them to shoo. After hours of extreme tense, she finally stuck her head out and I quickly grabbed her scruff. Once I pulled her out, she looked almost dead. Her fur was frozen in spike like shapes, she was covered in dust, shaking, her eyes were closed. I pressed her against my chest for warmth and walked inside. Today, I think she believes she hasn't repayed me enough for saving her.

I found your channel three days ago and before I did, i thought that i definitely preferred dogs over cats and was planning to help rescue dogs or be a vet as a career, but now that I found your channel and have learned about cats i plan to own a dag and a cat and foster other cats and dogs, probably more cats than dogs though because i never realized how much help cats needed in being adopted. You have literally changed my life plans for the better! Thank you so much!!

Black kittens are my favourite. I have two house panthers and they are both absolute joys to have in our lives! Our "eldest" is a dog in a cat suit who nightly supervised playdates with a neighboring cat and friends with all the dogs in our building. Since we live on the first floor he is also unofficial greeter for anyone coming into the lobby during said playdates. Our "youngest' is the complete opposite of her adopted brother, is very sweet and shy and hates being separated from her bro. She is the first to greet us when we get home and demands pettins right away. It's the first time I've been a cat owner, so I'm pretty in love with both of them...lol.

You inspire me to foster animals. But i have two cats and i am only 13 years old. BUUUUUTTTT two days ago i saw this little black kitten. Probably around 1 month or so old. I sat down and speaked to him/her. The kitten was of course scared so i decided that i did not want to scare him/her more. So later i put out some food and a while after the kitten was back and ate some food. The kitten was kinda skinny so i think he/she enjoyed the food very mutch. I will hopefully meet that little cute again and maybe take it in to my home, give it food wash it etc. Love you

I was in the Philippines this past month of July and while I was there my family and I rescued a kitten. The Philippines has a major stray cats and dogs problem as I would see them every few meters as we drove down the road except for in high end areas with lots of land development. It's very sad. But anyway, we were driving home on the road one night and my Dad looked out the window to see a mewling black kitten, no more that a few inches long wobbling along the sidewalk and fall into the street where its tail was run over by a motorcycle, giving it a crooked tail. My Dad mentioned this to the rest of the people in the car and my sister started balling her eyes out for the poor thing so we pulled over to grab the kitten. Our driver got out and picked the kitten up, bringing it back to the car, where my Mom named it Midnight because it was found at night. We brought it home and wet to the vet the very next morning to get a bottle and milk formula for it, as well as to learn about how to care for the little thing which eyes weren't even open yet. Midnight is still in the Philippines with family there and he is growing to be a happy and healthy kitten. Your videos really helped me to care for the little thing so I thank you kindly for making them. KEEP SAVING THEM!
