In my new Custom Championship in Automobilista 2, which sports the F-Classic Gen3 class and the F1 1990 Season mod by Immersion Modding Group, I try to put the bar for authenticity even higher.
I am competing in Nigel Mansell's Ferrari 641 and will mainly only use the devices they had back in 1990. So it's manual shifting, no HUD, no looking back key, and only limited radio/telemetry.
This is the 11th and final race at Adelaide, Australia., 50 % race distance, historic date and weather, tyre wear and fuel consumption on 2 x. AI skill is on 107 %.

I actually like the custom championships you do. It's inspired me to do my own with an Alternate F1 Universe style system which I'm setting up. Keep the vids coming, they're really well done and entertaining. I have them playing on a monitor while I work during the day. Thanks again for your hard work!

Great series, incredible race. Well done Timo, thanks for posting. Blue flag behaviour is a drag, but so is practice and a qualy in my opinion. The AI tends to match your speed, so if you want to back off to make a gap, they slow down too! Really hard to make space to set a lap.

Brilliant Timo :) I so enjoyed your championship. I can't wait for more. Currently I am 6 rounds into my F1 1983 championship 100% length 105% ai, it's tricky with a non turbo, but loving the challenge to try to get points. Inspired by your championships :) 1991 next ? :D

Awesome as usual 😀. And, just in case no one else has mentioned it, you could have used paddle shifters in the Ferrari. They introduced them on the car the year before.

Thx. And, yes, I know, but I wanted to stay model-correct and also like H-pattern shifting. Sadly the existing model in AMS2 is a far cry from the real F641.

Great video, Timo. IMG has already released the 1993 mod for Formula HiTech Gen 2. You might give it a go if you find the time to do so (and if you like to drive those cars).
