I don't think you got the whole idea. She's talking about being concerned about long term resources instead of trying survive with short term ideas that will lead to environmental crisis. I understand that you think she's overrated. That happens with almost all mainstream designers, artists etc. And all hipsters care about not liking the overrated characters.
