Clayton ‪@SAWDUSTLUGNUTS‬ has a couple of projects that need some metal fabrication done to get them completed. Shane Frost at Frosty's Metal Fabrication helps out big time. Then Boede and Clayton make custom wood vases for Mother's Day flowers.

The treads are being installed this weekend. I let them take the 6' bit and the jig to bore holes through the center log.

A piece of 1/2” cold rolled also works for a drill extension. We would drill holes 4’ deep sometimes when we were building big trusses.

Would you just weld the bit to the end of the cold roll?

@@SAWDUSTLUGNUTS yep. You have to point the ends of both pieces so you get a good weld. It’s also a bit of work to get it straight. That drill guide was sweet. That would have been handy.
