Got a Ryobi Sawzall with the same exact issue same exact model for $5 and fixed it. Been holding up ever since.

Nice, 🎉 I use mine to trim tree branches and brush. I made the mistake of trying to cut a 4x4, and the blade holder cracked in two. I guess it sawzall except 4x4's. I have a much older model, and hope I can figure out how to open it up and replace the holder.

I think you put the washer on the wrong part

If I recall correctly only the front pin had washers. I questioned myself because I thought this was weird.
