Great analysis. It’s great how you put in really thoughtful/educational commentary on what he’s doing rather than just saying “cool man”. Helped me understand why what he was doing sounded good!

Love your enthusiasm. It is great to be in the sax community. I played 5 gigs on tenor with Phil in Denmark and it was so fun!! Thank you so much Nick.

Great analysis. The true giants can play a G natural over an F#m7 ( measure 167) and have it sound great. If I did that it would sound like a giant clam

Nice talk through NIck Love what you do. Beginning of second chorus he begins to quote from 'Those Little White Lies' which is cool. Also in the climb up the dim7ths he alters his sound in the penultimate one. Man I've often wondered how he does that. He seems to get an exagerated 'round' sound which he deploys often on ballads, just for a phrase or something. I'd love you to investigate that. Just WHAT is he doing?

It sounds to me that it's played in F and also that all single line playing infact is a minor third up? Is there an explanaition for this?
