In Whitestone, Allura is meditating, working on the arcane barrier protecting Whitestone, while Kima impatiently waits with her. The long time partymates sort out their fears and feelings.

This is a serious work of art. The vocals on "ally, please. I told you..." were hauntingly beautiful. Though, my absolute favorite lines are "I wonder, sometimes" "sometimes" "what I had failed to say" to "I might have known what I was loosing that day". Gosh! So much emotion. In honesty, I've only watched a handful of critical role episodes. That being said, this song told a real story. I didn't need to see all the episodes, I understood perfectly. This tune has been in my head for some time. I'm just listening on repeat :3

Kima and Allura are two of my favorite Critical Role NPCs, and hearing such a beautiful song from their perspective makes me incredibly happy, well done :)

I love that the hardend one, Kima, is being so gentle with Alura while trying to tell her that she loves her. This is a beautiful song and i think you captured both of them so well. Their frustrations with the dragons, their duty to the world, and not being able to tell each other what they have wanted to for years. It's a great addition to the lore of the game.

I've become mildly obsessed with this song. It's so beautiful. My partner told me about their relationship before I started watching and I became invested because I love cute queer representation. This is a beautiful companion to the story told through the show, and it makes me tear up every time I hear it. I am looking forward to the final version.

To be honest, I haven't gotten to this part of Season One. However, I'd argue that you don't need that much knowledge about the story to be emotionally invested in the song. The raw acting talent you have in voicing these two lovers is so powerful that the listener doesn't need the full story. It's all there in the song. Truly outstanding work. I look forward to hearing your other songs.

aw that is really sweet. I'm so glad you like it! I haven't planned on another song right now. I'm mostly focused on getting this song as good as I can. Though I will add that this song has a couple accidental references to the events of 85, that I hadn't realized! (See: last chorus, allura's last solo line, and the last shared line). I was just wrecked when I realize what I had foreshadowed.

I just realized now, 85 WAS ALL YOUR FAULT! Im kidding but really, wow. Be sure Ill be attentive for when you think this song is "as good as you can" eventhough I think it is already perfect. You should totally send it to matt and the cast by twitter, they are lovely, they will listen to it.

Hey hey, 85 had already happened when I wrote it! :P Just didn't realize the symbolism was more like foreshadowing :P. Already tagged Matt on twitter and posted the song a few times, but it didn't gain much retweet traction so it may have just gotten lost in the shuffle. Don't know if any of the cast heard it. In the end I've made peace with it. Critters seem to have really enjoyed it. And maybe they'll catch the final version :)

I love this song. A song is the most beautiful when it can both relate to a specific situation and/or emotion while also being able to evoke a memory or person to the listener. This song makes me think of their story, but also MY own story. Being a gay man, songs like this, about being honest, even if it is hard and scary, can lead to beautiful results, always makes me feel things; and this one definitely lead me to tears. Thanks for putting your heart into something that ended filling mine as well.

This is a very nice song for these two. Very nice work. I like the structure of the verses, it makes it sound whimsical and like a proper conversation. I really think a Critical role Musical needs to be made at some point. It would be fun.

This song is seriously a gem among most of the songs about Critical Role. Although it's simple, that's what gives it it's charm. (It may also be because I just have a soft spot for ukulele tracks, but STILL!) This is a gorgeous song. But, as it says in the title, I noticed that this is a demo. Obviously, this is meant to be a duet between two people. If, at any point, you're still looking for a person to take one of the parts for the final version, I'd be happy to be your duet partner! Once again, this is a lovely song. It fits together so nicely, and it comes off as calming and emotional all at the same time! Truly, a beautiful song!
