@@_WhiteW0lf_ The term has been around since the 1980's. FilAms use it most of the time though and I first encountered it during the 2000's. People don't call us 'filos' just because it's a trend or something the current generation made up, I'm assuming that's why you want us to stop using it. The word has literally been used for a long time. I see Filipinos and other people use it all the time. (Speaking from experience as I do play a lot of online/virtual games and I chat with many people on the internet).

Philippines have a big similarities with these 3 countries. Indonesia, Mexico, and US, from language to culture. Filipino alphabet have similarities with bahasa langauge and we share the same ancestor. We also have borrowed Spanish words which is almost 30% of the filipino language and most of it have the same meaning in spanish that's why we have similarities with Mexico since they speak spanish. We're also english speakers so we understand English well. Filipino's are very flexible that's why they can easily adapt to other cultures and language.

In indonesia it is BULAN same in Cebuano, Waray and Hiligaynon. The word TEN in indo is SEPULOH while in tagalog its SAMPU. In cebuano and Waray it is NAPU or NAPULO. Just also wanna remind that although we have filipino as our national language, we also have 175 more languages used here.

These are some conversational Filipino sentences hahaha I'd like to know if can you understand them at least the context and what you think meant. It's gonna be a fun experiment hihihi. "Hello, Maria Elena! Kumusta? Ang gwapo ng mga lalaki na nakita ko kaninang alas - onse ng umaga sa parke." "Aba! Ang mga amiga ni Lola, nagsi-siesta sa tapat ng bintana sa sala bago mag meryenda! "Mga estudyante, ilabas ang papel at lapis. Pagkatapos ay i-kopya ang sulat na nasa libro." "Angelo! Hijo! Kumain ka na! May dalang empanada si Tia Linda mo! May plato at baso na sa mesa." Some people may not fully understand them at first glance because some Spanish words are Filipinized/Tagalized in spelling like (Kumusta = Como estas) but if you can spot them, you'd see how similar they are in Spanish. Philippines have a lot of languages other than Filipino/Tagalog. There's also Bisaya, Ilocano, Bicolano, etc. and the Spanish creole, Chavacano and they all have Spanish words in them. Ofcourse there's also a Spanish dialect here in the country Philippine Spanish, but it's an extinct one now and only a few people can still speak it. If you'd like to know what Philippine Spanish sound like, watch this video of President Manuel Quezon speaking it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bJxjoteA27C6d4k.html
