I have to say if they watch the entire video and read the description of the video it says absolutely nothing about us quitting. As a matter of fact, the title is very relevant to the video. It has nothing to do with us saying good bye to Van life but everything to do with saying goodbye to the wonderful people we met and how the reality of that, for most RVers and Van Lifers meeting other RVers on the road!. Thank you and really appreciate that! 🙏🥰

Same here… East TX… but my health got a lot better being in the country. I could travel now all I want to but I bought a half acre homestead and my travel trailer has just sat here for two years. I’m so wrapped up in chickens and gardening and Pineneedles and pinecones.. 😂 hope you get to travel one day soon. ❤

I watched the August, 2017 total solar eclipse, from my worksite, a Forest fire lookout, 7500 feet high, in the Siskiyou mountains of Oregon. It made me tear up and cry.

Glad you two had a great time, good to know about the festival too. We drove our self-built Sprinter camper van to Dave Deacon Warm Springs campground (south of Ely, NV) to view the eclipse in no-cloud skies. What we didn't know was that duck hunting season started the following morning!! That explains a lot about the packed campground and everyone else in camo gear. Thankfully someone informed us that the morning would be LOUD 🤪

😂 I live in a big deer hunting area and the first day of deer season is like jumping out of my skin 50 times because the tranquil serene Forest life will just erupt in gunfire. I hate it when some of these clowns kill deer that are just walking through their property at dawn because they’re too lazy to go out and get in the blind. But it’s to be expected. it made me laugh that I’m not the only one that gets nerves rattled on the first day of a hunting season.

You kids were in my neck o' the woods! I live up in Eugene and Crater Lake is just a day trip from here. It was very cloudy here for the eclipse, but I was determined to see it and I did! I have a picture I can share on Facebook, but I couldn't find this post there. I'm hoping to be on the road by next fall/winter, so maybe I'll see you on the road.

Oregon is so beautiful! I miss the mountain views from Seattle to California! I have been all over the PNW and love it!! Living in Hawaii now makes me realize how much I appreciate the PNW and all the awesome places I was lucky enough to experience there. May move back in retirement. 😂💕 Aloha!

RV life is a different lifestyle indeed…you make “friends” along the way..usually tell you how the roads are ahead and you do the same. At some point everyone continues on their way and goodbyes are goodbyes…safe travels. It’s the lifestyle….I get it!

Just found y’all a few days ago!!!.. Love your adventures!!! My kids are on the road w/ their 4 children!!!.. Just don’t know how they do it!! And they want me to join them!!! Not so sure I’d be able... but am considering... I've traveled quite a bit in the past.. but was a long time ago!!! A bit apprehensive to say the least!!!.. I had a cat named Bailey Q Newman, and a cat, Yoda, who passed 1 mo ago today...he would have been 19 in July... miss him so much!! Is so much fun watching y’all .. !! Safe traveles!!!❗️💕

I live in an apartment, and the best investment I made for making coffee, are the 3 French presses I bought from IKEA. I have an electric water kettle, and simply throw the hot water and ground coffee into the French press. The water kettle brings the water to a rolling boil in 1-2 minutes. After about 5 minutes of steeping the coffee, I push the plunger down about ten times, and pour. My French presses hold about 4 servings of coffee. Every year, the price goes up another dollar. The last one I bought was $12.99.

My husband and I were in Santa Fe for the eclipse. He took pictures of the shadows from the trees. The shadows change into this dappled look. It’s very cool!

Oh cool your in Oregon, I used to live there 8n Salem and Dallas.. Crater Lake is amazing to see but I loved traveling the coast line so pretty... just be careful when driving through Portland if you go that way...

It was completely overcast for us here too! But even more so, because you couldn’t even tell the difference in the lighting when the eclipse happened. I got to see the one in 2017 though, and the weather was perfectly clear for that one.

You should check out the sealions caves on the coast and the aquarium that free Willy stayed for a while. And the Ripley's Believe it or not and wax museum. There's a casino in Lincoln City that you can park your RV. It's Indian or native American ran and owned.

The reality of RV LIFE can be, what we like to refer to as, “saying hello and goodbye”. We meet so many amazing RVers while on the road, but these relationships can be very quick since we are all traveling to different places. We are highlighting the reality of RV life and meeting new fiends and then “saying goodbye” after a few days and you don’t know whether you will ever see them again. We have to say the title is exactly what the video is about! We even say that in the description of the video! Sorry you feel that way but we appreciate your thoughts! 🙏🥰

Getting solar in Oregon, can be a challenge. I lived here for 62 years, til we went full time. Central Oregon gets the best weather for viewing the sky. But the west side, you can forget it. But sure enough, the Oregon weather will be the hindrance. Nothing new. Eclipses, Northern Lights, comets, planetary alignment, UFO’s never get seen in Oregon. Just cloud cover. Especially from October to July.

This why I would think a trailer to tow and a tow vehicle would be preferable to have instead of a motorhome you can separate trailer home from vehicle if something happened to vehicle

It was perfectly clear here... but we're not in the path. For that one. I bought the glasses, dang it! And they arrived in time! But Mom had issues going on, and I had to tend to her.🤷🏽‍♀️ Got another chance in April smack dab in the middle of the path. Hopefully won't be caregiver confusion going on. No word from my sister. She lives off grid in Southern Utah. Right smack dab in the middle of the path. Couldn't care less. 🙄 Sheesh.

I love to watch y'all, but you keep making me sad. You say your going to quit van life. I'm glad you don't!!! I'm 66 and the more I watch, the more I want my dream to come true!! I love the Van's, and I've never seen much,so I want to travel so bad!! It's been 28 years since we've been on vacation. I want to walk the beach again before I die,are before I'm 100 years old!! I have to say if you watch the entire video and read the description of the video it says absolutely nothing about us quitting. As a matter of fact, the title is very relevant to the video. It has nothing to do with us saying good bye to Van life but everything to do with saying goodbye to the wonderful people we met and how the reality of that is for most RVers and Van Lifers meeting other RVers on the road! Your neighbors are always leaving to head back on the road to their next destination, and you’re never sure when or not you will see each other again down the road!

Thanks, did you watch the video? What we are referring to is not goodbye to RV life, but the RV life reality of meeting new friends at campgrounds and so often having to say goodbye after only a few days when you each go back on your own road.
