Say Yes to the Dress

Bride Katie has her sights set on a gown that the boutique only has available in one size. Though she tries on plenty of other dresses, she can’t get her perfect gown out of her head - even though it’s two sizes too small.

It should be the bride’s decision on what dress to wear! It is her wedding day, too. If the fiancé wants a say in an outfit, it should be his tux.

Unless, y'know, the bride WANTS their grooms opinion, like this woman did. Yeah it was a bit irritating but at the end of the day he was just being honest & giving his opinion like she wanted. It really isn't right for anyone else to judge if the bride wants him to be there. He wasn't rude or disrespectful, I've seen mothers MUCH worse.

Am I the only one that hates when a groom says his opinions about what the dress should look like? I understand if they help out by saying what flatters their fiancé more and whatnot, but saying they don’t want sparkle and they want it to be just white with a flower is crazy to me. When I get engaged, my fiancé can wear whatever they want, even if it’s something crazy because it’d be OUR day. I wouldn’t want someone controlling what I wear on my wedding day because, hopefully, it would only be an event I have once in my life.

Perhaps in some "small" way, sample sizes remaining so unrealistically small has more to do with the cost of everything from cost of materials (beading etc...) than what the "fashion industry" does or doesn't believe is a most representative size. Imo the fashion industry cares about drawing attention to their products in the most economical way. They aren't forced to care about things from any other prospective.

well, it is in front of camera .................. clearly, she can be suppressed easily ............. she does not a need agroom .......... nor a married life ..............she must find herself and one part of that is losing weight and psychological support by a therapist ........................ well, i noticed the man is very well in shape ............... so it is a way to control her ..................... publicly announce that the woman is fine , well, clearly it is obvious to everyone that she does not feel fine but as soon as she wants to bring a change to herself, those who have fear of competing with her after change, keep telling her, you are fine and beautiful , when deep inside they are crossing a finger and laugh ..............jealousy comes in so many different ways ...............for example you are fat , and you want to lose weight , your own mother or sister tells you , no you are not fat , you think you are fat , and then hold a party and themselves get dressed fit, yet you are really fat and you know that, but have been poisoned by lies so you come in a dress in the same party and people start to ignore or insult you , because of the way you look, yet your sister and mother knows , laughing inside but ignoring on the surface and then twist the whole fact and bringing another issue as the reason why the guest at the party were mocking you and keep feeding you lies , that you are beautiful .............unfortunately, the word beautiful has been misinterpreted and twisted to the fact that, people say she is fat but not ugly, yet, we all know that extra fat which make us uncomfortable by our brain is interpreted as ugly , that is why brings discomfort , a psychological discomfort ..........so, manipulation and jealousy even can be exhibited under the umbrella of so- called support

💀 guys i promise this is not the guy to be shook over, based on actions and words alone anyways. nothing he said ever detracted from the bride herself, and he said himself that his own pick was terrible. to be quite frank, a lot of the things he talks about sound like sensory related things, and not about appearance (a few of the dresses were sheerly appearance based, like the one he called a flamenco dress, if i spelled that right) outside of that, he never spoke out of turn and more than likely would have kept his mouth shut if she came out in a dress that made her cry. meanwhile, there’s waves of family members (and even other fiancé’s) i’ve seen on this show that are worse. we also see lgbtqia+ couples that bring their partners with them for fittings, and they voice their opinions in a similar, calm manner the same way this man in this video has. no ones pressed then though, because everyone understands what that partner is saying. but because their couple isn’t like that, you guys don’t. i just! why y’all. this really ain’t the guy to be oressed with 😭

@MsJubjubbird
@MsJubjubbird 2 жыл бұрын
@@gracett3628 It cots more to use more fabric and needlework. Plus once you get above a certain size you change the shape of the dress so you need a whole new pattern as it's basically a different dress. Also the store want to sell them off the rack without or with minimal alterations needed for those who don't have time to order. Beauty is partly a fashion thing. What is in a magazine is unrealistic. But also, as animals, we are naturally attracted to what is considered 'healthy. Back in the day, it was fashionable to be big and curvy. All the art reflected this. It was because it was a sign of fertility, when a lot of people did not have enough to eat. Moving forward, we know obesity is unhealthy so we're more attracted to the healthy body weights. Go to a developing country and curvy body types are still put on pedestals.

I sorta know how she feels. This happened with a prom dress. I saw a beautiful blue party dress at the store, but they only had size 2. I thought that it had a good chance of fitting me, so I tried it on. It was the perfect dress, it looked amazing in the front... but it wouldn't zip. My boobs were too big, my shoulders were too wide. I suddenly became very self-conscious about it. I was hysterical. I just wanted the damn dress to fit, it would've been the most amazing prom dress. Everything he said was how he was concerned that she felt this way. I don't understand this mentality that men are not allowed to have opinions on anything or they are being jerks. Am I the only one who feels like Wedding Dress shopping is a special day for the bride, her mother, and close family or friends. It by far complicates things when the groom wants to be there and IMO showings a level of distrust and control. Give your opinion all you want... but at the end of the day it's her decision about what makes her comfortable and what makes her feel beautiful & special. If you want an opinion on a dress that badly.... we'll find YOU one to wear! Poor girl, couple minutes in and I can't stand him and his control issues....
