Yes, unfortunately the Kleinfeld one wasn’t unnecessary. Unfortunately I think she would’ve brought the one from Kleinfeld if she did not put the deposit down specially at 50% she like that dress from the other salon but if you know you have two or three appointments at different salons don’t bother buying the dress you like, don’t worry. The dress will always be there. If you truly loved the dress you can always go back and purchase it. There is no such thing that says you have to buy your dress now. If you know you feel like you ain’t shopped enough. because it’s a waste of a salon time too continue to shop for a dress that you might never be satisfied with specially if you have your heart set on another dress

What's hard about the circumstance of the second bride who went way over her budget is that you wake up the morning after your wedding and have a piece of white fabric you spent $8000+ on hanging in your closet that you can never use again. (I think a lot of people are optimistic about the option of reselling, but if you are successful in reselling your dress, it's usually at a price that is half what you paid, or even less! Not everyone who has your sense of style is your size and vice versa.) I wish they would do a follow-up with the big budget brides and see if it was really worth all that money to look beautiful for 6 hours.

The first bride made a huge mistake. Once you find your dress, you stop looking. My advice for brides is if you have a year or more before your wedding have fun looking at bridal magazines and get a feel for what you like but don’t start shopping for your dress until 8 or 9 months before your wedding. It takes about 6 months to get it ordered & delivered then you might have to get it altered which adds another 2-4 weeks. If you go shopping too early and buy a dress you may come across a dress later that you like better. This happened to my daughter-in-law. She was so excited to get engaged that she immediately went shopping for her gown and it was a year before the wedding. She bought a gown right away then months later found several that she loved more but her mom was like "too bad". You bought your dress and that's what you're wearing. So just have fun being engaged first then wait before you shop for your gown so you don’t end up like these brides. And if you have a strict budget with no wiggle room DO NOT try on anything over your budget because 9 times out of 10 you're going to love the more expensive gown then you're going to be disappointed when you can't buy it and every other gown after that isn't going to compare and will be a dress you have to settle for, which isn't an ideal situation.

I did my research from magazines. I found a dress I liked on the 1st salon/designer I visited. I did not buy it. I went to another 4 salons to check the other ones that I liked. I tried like 1-2 dresses per salon for a total of 10-11 dresses, so not that many. In the end, I went back on the 1st salon pretty confident that it was the dress I wanted.
@MLMLW
@MLMLW 4 ай бұрын
@@Wriwnas1 - That's definitely what you should do and not put a deposit down on the first dress you like because you could possibly like another one better at another salon. When I got married the first time I knew exactly what I wanted and found it at the first shop my mom & I went to. She told me to not settle on the very first dress I tried on but I knew it was the one but I obliged her wishes to go to another salon and keep looking. Nothing compared to the first dress and that's the one I ended up buying.

If you're not going to buy a dress, please do not waste people's time. It's not okay. It's very inconsiderate, it's rude, and it's not the energy you want to lay the foundation of your wedding on. Remember, ladies what goes around comes around? Think of it as how you treat people is how you lay the seeds for the path of your walk for life. So you're responsible for what blooms or looms. May your contrast show you what you do not want. May your angels make it a walk of grace❤ Blessings to all 🖖🦋🕊🕯

I didn’t care for her original dress with the shiny fabric and the pick ups. But she liked it, spent money on it, so she should not have gone looking for a dress to beat it. I think there could always be another wedding gown a bride could love but, as Randy advises, once you find the guy and the dress you should stop looking! You are 100% right in pointing out what else of more importance she could do with that money and it’s good that she just stuck with her original dress.

Yes, she went over budget and yes she spent way more than I would on a wedding dress, but she was trying to keep it real and keep things in context, like about renovating her kitchen... it felt like she wasn't being totally flippant about the decision. I know its for the drama and for the extra fees but a business this successful could absolutely turn away any person who doesnt give them at least a full calendar year prior to the wedding date. Also require images of silhouettes and details that are appealing to the bride. Also a set budget that the consultants in turn actually respect and hit under. The price of alterations and accessories is gonna blow them out of budget if they push budgets or break budget rules.

The 2nd brides dress was over the top stunning. It was a show stopper dress for sure and she looked amazing in it. She will have the most beautiful wedding pictures with that gorgeous dress forever so that is something to think about too when choosing a wedding dress. However. Would “I” spend that much money on a dress? Nope. I am a numbers girl and would calculate to the penny how much money a dress would cost me for each hour that I wore it. $6500 + $600 rush fee plus alterations and taxes so I think she said she will pay approx $8000 divided by 6 hours = $1333.33 per hour. Well she didn't go 3000 over her budget bc then a 4600 dress would also already be over budget (5K budget) with alterations/rush order...? Her budget was 5K not specifically stated to be 5K with alterations/rush order cost. Still, my god +5K for a dress is so much money

This was like 12 years ago so costs were much cheaper. $3000 isn’t a lot but it will at least be something toward the overall cost of a renovation.

?? Gotta say the first dress was obviously looking to be pampered some more by sales staff, and maybe get to be on a TV show too, (somebody did NOT get enough attention as a child and hasn't grown up!)

I don’t think so. Probably she just had buyer’s remorse and wanted to find a dress that she absolutely loved and she didn’t find anything worth it to spend extra money on it.

Another person pushing for the Pnina gown that she knows she can’t afford, now here comes the waterworks and the tears and the begging and everything else for the staff to come down on the price, including Panina. It’s just BS with these people do that’s why the staff doesn’t want to put them in the dress you can’t afford the dress you can’t afford the dress. There’s no shame in that, but don’t try to steal it either.I think that’s such crap and then the store gives and gives her dress. I don’t like that. There’s alterations, there’s all else have to lose out on money because this girl wants something? I want $1 million but what am I gonna do stand in the middle of the room and cry until someone feels sorry for me? This is BS.

It's really too bad the first bride wasted the consultant's time. They work so hard for their commission. She clearly wanted to play dress up on TV. Watching someone be disappointed because they find a dress they love is not a very enjoyable viewing experience.

I'm really tired of hearing the term "price point". Can anyone tell me the difference between price and price point? Because I think they're just trying to use more words to make it sound classier. 😏
@lilspanda8641
@lilspanda8641 4 ай бұрын
Well I just feel like price point refers to a general area but saying price feels a bit more singular y'know. Like the price of a dress vs what's a good price point for a dress you are looking for. Cause price point is not very singular (even tho it says point), but like when I hear price it's like said and done. But price point it's like the point where I will say no if it's above this amount.

Proves that "Less is More." Always. The Brides original dress WAS pretty, but compared to that stunning Kleinfeld's - it was too much rouching, bunlded skirt, etc. going on. I'm guessing she couldn't return the 1st dress anymore, and could NOT afford a 2nd one.

the second one made me really upset. usually if a bride shows a gown they dont have, they would show a similar gown.. its really annoying that they didnt try and show a gown in a cheaper price range that still looked similar. really shows that above all they want you to spend as much money as possible. 😕
