SBC convention 2024 - what were normal people thinking?

2 ай бұрынSouthern Baptist 2024 met. The Law amendment and the Nicene creed were two issues that were dealt with. I interview 3 different people in the exhibition all about their ministry and thoughts about women in ministry.

I was a Baptist Pastor and missionary. My parents were fine Baptist christians. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home. I was married to my accepting wife for 51 years and cared for her with MS for 26 years before she passed. But I am gay, medically proven during electronic shock therapy by a Dr who was President of the Baptist Church here. I was told I am not welcome to even attend church here because I am gay. Solution: check the scriptures carefully in the original Hebrew and Greek and don't twist the translations to gay bash.

We all have sinful desires but they are not our identities if we are in Christ. Regardless of what a doctor tells you, the scriptures tell you that this behavior sinful. Even the desires are disordered. But God can change anyone's heart if they are willing - not necessarily easy. I've been in a lot of Baptist churches and I've never heard of ones checking to see if you struggle with any sins if you want to attend. Praying for you - God can do a great work.
