This is why we need to end the unbiblical career track of ministers coming from college going to seminary and then entering ministry in a church. Now I am saying this knowing high school and college friends and ministers who did take this route and God in His mercy still used them but it is not biblical, it is not His direct orders as stated in Timothy and Titus. Elders and staff are to come from within a congregation.

Sad that something like this happens in ALL CHIRCHES. I retired as a Southern Baptist prison chaplain and have worked with people from all denominations and religions. Sin is sin regardless of where it comes from. Not to make excuses, but I have seen so many situations where the one committing the crime was also a victim of abuse. In the early part of my marriage my wife and I lived in an apartment. One of our neighbors was a young lady from one of the northern states. One day she was talking with my wife and me. She told us that a Baptist preacher came into their community and was starting a Baptist church. She went to a church of another denomination. Her church sent out a group of 14-year-old girls to try to seduce the pastor. I was out of the country with the military and when I got back, my wife told me that she shot herself and died. She was only about 25 years old. Remember anywhere that God is working, the devil is working twice as hard.

Where there is one, there will be others. Offenders usually reflect the way they were raised. Rich people can just get more testosterone, and it doesn't solve the problems of the heart. Rich people can also cause a miscarriage of justice. Ribert Morris never really got disciplined for decades, and he's only being removed from office shortly before he was to retire anyway.

I really appreciate your comments and your courage to tell the Body of Christ that we must change. Everything is sexualized in our society now, it is part of the idolatry in the Christian church. we are so blinded to it that we will even dismiss and defend a former President who has been proven to abuse women and laugh about it because he’s “a celebrity”. Question. I cannot tell you how to feel but are. “broken hearted” “speechless” appropriate and mature responses to child molestation by ministers? . It is imperative that we Americans learn self control. Unfortunately having been a Southern Baptist for nearly 25 years, I was also led to think that sin was not as dangerous as it really is. We would transgress in many "little" ways and simply shrug it off as being simply part of our sinful nature which we thought we had no control over. With teaching like that, why are we so surprised? He thought that he was "Saved". We sorely need to concentrate on REPENTANCE. No more of this eternal security nonsense! All the Apostles taught repentance. When grace was taught, it was not a replacement for repentance, it was always alongside of it. The works of the law were condemned BECAUSE one can keep the law without having a repentant heart. But a repentant heart always walks in grace. I'm afraid that that pastor may well have bought himself a ticket to hell. Because he didn't repent. He didn't turn from his wicked ways. His heart was full of lust instead of Christian self sacrifice. As Americans we had better learn this quickly. Or suffer the consequences.

While the idea of placing 2 adults in a Sunday school classroom is not a bad idea, it is not practical in many churches. First, many such classrooms are small. Second, it is hard to find volunteers.

I am rather sure that this man was domineering in the pulpit, and was not interested in any kind of accountability. I feel sorry for the church to some degree, but there is some culpability in the lay people who backed this man with blind trust.

Most times when someone does these things, its because it was done to them, by a family member, usually the father. Im not saying this happened to him, but it is sometimes , alot of times, a precursor to their behavior.

I am as at our car and suddenly th adult s were angrily yelling at the Pastor to the point of fists almost flying. The Pastor and family were kicked off of event and immediately fired. The Pastor had been caught in the act will h a boy. Our Church IMM DIATELY contacted every place the Pastor ministered to, the School and Police. I dont remember if he got Prison but shortly after GOD gave him face Cancer that as I heard rapidly ate his face off and he died from it. I say no names because I am sure you that for the past 63 years the wife and children or family with the same name have lived in shame. I know if a person TRUELY repents they are forgiven. They still must bear the consequences on Earth for their actions. However if this guy became so Apostate and filthy evil that he gave himself over to that foul of a Reprobate mind and acted in the drives that he would destroy an innocent child, his career, his family and his family name and his church and ministry I dont know if forgiveness is possible.GOD can forgive all but one sin yes, but this guys ability to TRUELY repent and change his reprobate desires is the question. In any case he is dead now and if he repented weakly and carelessly with no change I would expect him to be in the lowest worst level of Hell.

I am not surprised. Even this video quotes from a false bible. When you step away from sound doctrine, that is the beginning of the end. You cannot follow false doctrine and expect God to bless it. Before you accept the new versions of the bible, do some research. Compare what they say to what the KJV says and, if you pay attention, you will see a difference. The new versions are changing scripture. Then read Revelation 22:18, 19 to see what will happen if you change scripture or accept changed scripture. He who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

I have never heard a more milk toast commentary in my life! Call sin a sin for crying out loud. Churches need to stop hiring sinners as pastors and go back to requiring a testimony other than "I was baptized at 7 and joined the church and attended seminary etc.". Needless to say, the member on the committees that are tasked to interview potential pastors need to be saved and have a healthy dose of suspicion when investigating potential hires. In the Bible, pastors, deacons, elders were chosen from the congregation they were going to serve and had already exhibited spiritual and moral maturity. We don't know the details of when and where the abuse happened, but at least the perv was arrested. I agree with comments below that God is cleaning out His Church, 1 Peter 4:17 "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?".

Billy had this rule of never being alone in a room with a woman yet today there are pretty substantiated documented claims that Mr Graham was an attendee at Bohemian Grove. The testimony of the claimant is pretty strong. She has claimed probably by affidavit that Billy Graham molested her while he during the same time period. touted this open door policy.
