I have an idea for Pat's proposal! Take Paige to somewhere known for having delicious sandwiches like Italy for instance, place the ring in the sandwich and take her somewhere monumental like the Colosseum or something and then offer her the sandwich, (either she or Pat can make mention of this next part) offering JUST the ham. Open the sandwich and await her answer. It's sweet, funny and an inside-ish joke that they understand and it would quite literally sum up their interesting relationship. P.S: Make sure she doesn't EAT the sandwich until the ring is removed.

Sage967 Arrow of time, Brownian motion, etc. explains that. The way those multiple chemicals move and react was predetermined; the only truly random thing in the universe (to my knowledge) is radioactive decay. If you were a godlike being that could know the precise direction, momentum, etc. of every particle in a human brain, it becomes clear that we are the direct result of predictable interactions. Like clockwork.
