HOMEOWNER STUNNED how much SPACE is in his YARD - FREE OVERGROWN YARD TRANSFORMATION [WITH REACTION]

I knocked on this man's door to take care of his overgrown lawn and give his yard a FREE makeover. His daughter reached out to me on Facebook and let me know that her dad was on oxygen and does as much as he can but doesn't get very far before having to go back inside and rest. This was a really satisfying transformation and I don't think I could have done it for anyone more deserving.
I started with the biggest part which was revealing almost half of the house by cutting out the weed trees in the flower beds. Then I mowed the grass and mulched up the all leaves. After this I edged the curb line really good to give the house that extra pop! Finally, I trimmed the rest of the property and the spots that my mower couldn't reach.

Beautiful job. What a sweet man. So glad you could help him. I Really appreciate the fact you took the time and work to clean out the beds with out just weed eating them clean. You saved all the flowers and plants that he had planted. So many of these mowing and transformation videos just clear the whole bed with a weed eater and don't take the effort to save the things the owner planted. I know this is added work on your part so I really was happy to see that.

Those tall things you trimmed to the ground look like cottonwood volunteers, or silver maple. I liked the way he said "they got roots!" Hes a very nice man. Nice work Spencer.

Sadly, the volunteer vegetation is not really gone as the roots are still in the ground. In a matter of weeks it will be back and thriving.

@@cherryrichardson9567 In my part of the country, our weed tree is typically maple. If you cut one, it will sprout out of the sides of what you left, often with three or more shoots. When you cut THOSE, you'll get about 50% more the next time. The only ways I have successfully killed them off is to either pull them before the roots get too established, go through the huge production of excavating a well-established stump, to split the remainder stump a lot and let rot in, or cut it back over and over for a couple of years until the rot gets in the stump naturally. - But it is beat for tenacity by an invasive species we call better-sweet root. An orange-rooted creeper that propagates by burrowing underground roots, sometimes for over 50 feet laterally. That nasty thing will crawl up structures and start doing damage, and if you leave it long enough will ALSO grow berries to spread by seed. The stuff we had in our yard had started four houses down the street about 8 years before we saw it. I once pulled up a root nearly thirty feet long until it dove under the pad of our garage.

The thing that I really like about your program, is that you just let all of the yard waste (less large limbs and vols) go right back into the yard to act as the most organic mulch it can be. It came from there, let it help there. You are amazing, Spencer!! What is the edging tool you are using?? It totally works way better than my string trimmer???

What's good about seeing a stone enclosure cleared of brushwood etc is that a homeowner can then see it's potential for planting of flowers rather than it being filled with ugly tough rubbish. People with massive yards can use a mild 5% foliar weedkiller to suppress growth without killing things. Wand sprayed along path edges will keep them free of creeping overgrowth.

I never been lucky to have someone come up to my home and offer free service but if they did I still would give money or gift card for their services because of their hard work! The front yard would look great with a 4 foot wide sidewalk lined with brick. I always have never understood planting bushes that turn into nightmares when they grow out of control!

I did a job for a lady that was about twice this overgrown and about three times as large with a push mower just yesterday. It took me five hours to mow the grass. But she was stunned when I got done, I also trimmed her hedge bushes and boxwood hedges and cut the edges of her driveway in real nice it almost didn’t look like the same property

Out of all the guys that mow lawns for you tube videos, I like watching you the most, you get good reaction from the home owner and you are excellent at the transformation of a yard. Thank you for your hard work. There is only bad think about what you do, you don't live close to my home. Just kidding about the bad thing. I have people that take of my yard, but they are lawn mowers not transformationers.
