My honest opinion of the Scag Vride 2.

Well crap. I’m getting ready to get one of these 36 vrides next week and I was going to install the mulch kit. You have me questioning that now. I cut mostly commercial business and it’s mostly large runs of grass with cars on one side parked along the side of the road and sidewalks on the other. I use and exmark 30 inch push mower now and I mulch with it but in one day I will walk up to 10 miles behind that mower. I just can’t side discharge and I thought this would be the perfect solution. Can you tell me more about why you didn’t like the mulch kit? Thanks

I have the same mower and what size blades are they? I was thinking about getting the Gator Mulching blades for mine. I have the Grass flap on my mower also! can you post a link to where to buy G5 blades? Are these blades the best you've had so far? I haven't had any luck finding part number for 36 blades...I just wanna make sure i get the correct ones! Thanks Steve

We use the 32” in Australia we got smaller property’s and smaller gates great mower built like a tank

Question: are u still able to bag with the mulch kit if necessary?

C. Elston sorry. I cannot answer that question. I do not have a bag for this unit yet. It’s on the list of things I want to get. I do want to be able to open grass flap and attach bag without removing anything!!!

Wow a blast from the past. I run the Scag Vride2 36” daily!!! It’s a awesome little mower!!!

@@EdenLawnServices awesome thanks I've switched to exmark but I love scags cut quality. The grass flap is the way to go like you said my old scag had a mulch plate like you said terrible.

Make a proper K turn and you will not tear up the grass!!!

You said you have hills. How steep would you say? How bad is it?

Bad is a relative term. 😂😂😂. I enjoy the hills. We have some we mow that are 40*

@@medusa210562 No way. I run the Vride2 52” on those. I won’t run the 36” on much hills. It’s not stable enough.

Your first con on vride is cup holder!? Haha no one really uses this so it shouldn’t even be a con

It’s a running joke that Scag does not know how to make a cup holder. This year I demoed a Turf Tiger 2 and it actually had one that worked. I keep a drink with me when it’s hot.
