Feel tiny ye mortals! I added some dramatic music, speed changes & an Ernest Becker quote to a great video by morn1415 which nevertheless featured what I think is a less optimal choice of music. You can watch the original here • Star Size Comparison 2

I wish my teachers show me stuff like this. Although there was no youtube back then, and only a few people have the internet I'm sure they could find a vhs that explains it. But we only ever learned about our solar system, I never appreciated just how big the universe must be until recently. A worthy and great teacher and man you must be. I'm sure your students respect you. And if not, just give them lots of homework.

Yeah it's a bit too bombastic for this presentation in my opinion, though I'm not surprised to see it still attached to star videos. It comes from a Disney sci-fi movie called "The Black Hole" 1979. The soundtrack and the titular black hole are pretty striking, but the rest of the film is just unremarkable.

@jamrose6322
@jamrose6322 6 жыл бұрын
Steve Lucking nope. It doesn't prove anything. But in different universe then yes. There is other life since the multiverse is just us making different decision in life. Also, even if they existed they might have got extinct by now. And even if one day we saw them. Let say 1 billion light years away from us. That would mean that they existed 1 billion yrs ago. And also they will never be able to come here since they are many light years away and since nothing can go at the speed of light. They will never arrive here before they died. Conclusion: it is not stupid to believe in alien. It is stupid to believe they will come here losing their time and energy. Yes, energy, the energy required to come here is immense. And on top of that who said they are more developed than us. We might even be the most intelligent creature in our universe.

It was the first few seconds of this video that unexpectedly sent me on a journey that'd change my life forever. I was at the gym on Christmas morning, this video came up and I saw the Becker quote. I was intrigued by it and, having never even heard of the man, started researching him. That turned into a deep diving lasting several months and reflection on the material lasting several months more. Some parts of me wish I never came across it, as I can't unsee it now. Of all the things I've studied all these years, this has been the only thing that I've had some regrets learning. But that's a good predicament to be in. I've been trying to find this video again since then, and finally came across it last night. Thanks for it. Just wanted to let you know.

I personally consider it reasonable for a person to think that God created the Big Bang, because science says there was nothing before the Big Bang, or nothing we could understand. However, I choose not to believe in any gods, because scientific progress, tends to, eventually, lead to more answers, and we will eventually, find out what we did not know. I do not think a god is necessary in any equation.

I think actually the people who watch this, really already get it. We just like watching it, very well done. Now personally I am a believer that there is no other life in our universe. That our universe was created to support life on Earth and that all that is out there has a relation in one way or another in keeping our universe and Earth all together. That does not mean I don't believe there are other universe's and I am pretty sure we are not alone but who ever is here is not from our universe but they are here. Not worried if they made it here from another universe and they have not destroyed by now, I don't think that is their intent ... just a tought. Thank you for this video very well done.

Nemesis Chan You can't, its impossible those other universes are so far away that even if you could travel faster then light for billions and trillions of years you still would be nowhere close, the number to get there is googolplex light years which is a number so enormous that you could have a chalkboard the size of the universe and try writing the number down with 0's the size of atoms and you still wouldn't have enough room to write the whole number down not even close, so imagine trying to travel as far as a number you cannot even spell out, also did I mention there are thousands of other problems to getting there like the fact you don't even know what horrors you'll see in these other universes if you got there, they could be completely different looking and may not be made up of the particles and matter of our universe but something very different and unbelievable.

My theory is that everything is a copy of each other - in different scales and different forms ==> The keyword is reproducing. Everything we know is being reproduced (and dies), from a cellular level to human species and other animals to planets and stars. Common to these are that they have an origin from other likewise entities, so I think our universe is a result of another universe - a mother-universe.

I think this is why so many people argue that we are living in a simulation. The Universe is so unfathomably big that such extreme scales which often collide with our own laws and theories of relativity make it seem more and more plausible. Just an interesting subject to think about, as we marvel at the scale and beauty of the universe.

God show to people what for a power he has but they are stiil people that don't believes in him. They say: I believe in science. If you believe in science, why are you not respecting the First Law of Thermodynamics? It says: Energy can't escape and energy don't exist from itself. If energy don't exist from itself, who created it then? There is one answer: God.

Amstelb1976 exactly Every single religion was created by human, which means if god exists What's with other gods from other religions? There are no god, yet we can't explain how big bang began, And i'm sure that we'll never know what is behind Black holes, even universes
@beyazid4218
@beyazid4218 7 жыл бұрын
Hello Amstelb1976, I will now answer your question. For example, I am a carpenter and I have made this desk where I sit now in front of it. So if I made this desk that means that I am not with the same genus of the desk. So I am before the desk and I am not equal (not of the same material) of the desk. The desk is wood and inorganic and I am human and alive. So this is exactly was God is. He has create the universe when nothing was existing with the uniques like place and time. So time is like us a critter, it is created. So God created the universe , which he has created the place and the time. So with this answer we can conclude the next: God is before the universe so He is before the time and place and he is not with the same genus with the universe, time and place. So not being of the same genus like time and place means that He has not a time when was been createn. So He has not a beginning and He has not an end. So he is endless. Also asking who created God that has not a beginning is illogical. Because, I wil give you an example: endless minus one million = ??? You understand? Concluding, God is an entity who has characterized from itself. I can give you an example of this: all the wet stuf has the same feature, the thing that makes their wet is water. You can't say what the wet feature is of water because the wet of the water is by itself. So the wetness of a material or the wetness of water is by an outcome. So the fact that God is entity is that he can't take something from outcome. If he could take something from outcome, he could't be endless. So asking who created God, is illogical. Also, He is not only my God, but also your God and all the things that he has been created and will be creating.
