If she was really concerned and knows the truth she would’ve contact the plaintiff’s bank herself and reported what happen but nope, instead she left the plaintiff handling it and pinning it all on her. yes! I came looking for this comment. Kids stray from what they were taught all the time. It's such a low blow and nasty. granted I'm only a few minutes into the case so don't know if the mom was in on it. but from the fact she went to the young lady's house to tell her it was fake it seems she didn't know.

Kids do stray and do stupid things. This was too well thought out to just be a 17 year old doing a stupid petty theft. Most 17 year olds won't tell another 17 year old to tell a bank that they lost a card to avoid fraudulent suspicion. Either the mom was in on it or the mom had participated in activities similar to what her daughter did and the daughter learned it from watching.

So, she found a blank check and decided to write her name on it and convince her friend to deposit the checks in her account. Wow

How do you find a blank check and give it to your friend to deposit? 🙄 The nerve of the mom to say she found a check. Ma'am, my daughter stole a check and forged it!

Why wasn't this case dismissed? JM usually says the court system doesn't help out in committing a crime, if I sold a pound of kilo to the defendant and they never paid me, the court system won't help me collect the money owed to me. How is this case different, they both scammed with fraudulent checks, they both guilty, and the case should be dismissed?

Defendant’s mother is exactly who is teaching defendant how to steal and defraud. They both belong in prison. Mother should be also charged with corruption of a minor. Defendant is already a full fledged criminal. I hope that plaintiff has learned a lesson and never ever do this for anyone ever again. It’s scary how easily the defendant lies. She’s sociopathic.

Curt had no right to rake the defendants brother over the cold that way out in the hall. He didn’t do anything. You could tell he was embarrassed, and Kurt kept pushing as if he was on trial. Granted, the defendant is guilty as sin, but why take it out on her brother?
