About the announcements, in newer ships those are not heard in your staterooms, but back in the days I remember announcements were heard right inside the staterooms in Royal Caribbean, so it makes sense for an older ship. You might have been able to turndown the stateroom speaker. As far as the ship having a dated layout, well it is an older ship, I am surprised how modern it actually looks inside. My family would love it, as it has the minimum that we need and use. We have cruised megaships as well, and we feel do not really take advantage of everything within the ship unless we spend 10 or 15 days in it.

My hubby and I went on a cruise to Freeport when the Packers were in the Super Bowl in 1997. We docked near the casino. Hubby had his hair braided in Packer colors. We went back to the ship to watch the game. Hubby had to go back to work the next day and he had to cut the beads out of his hair!

When we went to Blue Lagoon in Nassau they said the activities (paddle boards and inflatable water park) were included, which they were BUT you had to rent the life jackets (which they required and were $20/piece) and paddles ($10/piece) all that on top of the $79 per person.

That beach looked amazing. I’m actually cruising to the Bahamas and Coco Cay for the first time in a few months. It’s only a weekend trip, but I plan on spending as much time off the ship as possible.

For the toilet/lights....we went last week and figured it out. Turn the "master switch" on when you get in the room, then just turn on/off individual lights. Its like the card in the slot on newer ships.

Next time try Paradise Cove / Dead Man;s Reef. They have some awesome friendly staff there and EASY beautiful snorkeling. We had giant sea turtles swimming right up to us. Awesome fish to see too. Bring your own snorkeling gear or rent some there. Again, they had some very friendly staff there.

Years ago the announcements were all in your cabin, all the time, on all the cruises. It was really obnoxious when they would wake you up with these big bells and announcements every morning. And then they wised up and give you a little volume dial so you could control it in your room. But yeah, it was super annoying years ago.

So the food is great, the staff are very friendly, drinks are strong, the bed was comfortable, you had a great night of entertainment and the price of the cruise was more than reasonable. Sounds ✅✅✅ Just watch what you get in the Bahamas, i guess.

I've been to the Bahamas a few times, but it was many years ago. We stayed at the Princess Country Club once. It was Beautiful!! The Hotel was wrapped around a gigantic pool with rocks and waterfalls and a very large hot tub. There were several restaurants and bars with live music and entertainment. It wasn't on the beach, but there were free transports to take you there and back. The market was across the street. Anything and everything you could want was there. There was also the Princess Towers, which had a casino and more restaurants and entertainment. Sadly, the property was damaged in a tropical storm and never recovered! I will never forget my vacation there!!! BTW love that shirt that you are wearing at the end of your vlog! Where did you get it?

Love that you guys got off the ship and supported the locals especially that hair braiding lady. Next time go to Port Lucaya which has tons of shops and restaurants along with another beautiful beach. So important to get off the ship and show support to the citizens that welcome you to their paradise.

I was in marching band in highschool 🤓 and one year we did a Jimmy Buffet show. Those are still the only songs I know of his. We actually had to sing the “ I like mine with lettuce and tomato” part of Cheeseburger in Paradise 😂😂

Driving the on the "other" or left side is confusing at first, but you do get used to it. They drive on the left in the US Virgin Islands as well with American cars. That makes the challenge even more fun!! Lol. Take a cruise that goes to St. Thomas, rent a car or Jeep and see it for yourselves.

I loved seeing y’all enjoying the entertainment. If you liked the show you should go to a Buffet concert. It’s always a party and the Parrotheads are so much fun. The parking lot is almost as good as the show. It’s definitely an experience everyone should have.

I owned a condo at coral beach gbi for many years and have to laugh at tourists who get off a cruise and expect the world. Should have called queenie and daughters taxi for an inexpensive ride. Go to port lucaya, plenty happening. Go to the coral beach hotel pool bar for a great inexpensive lunch. Take a tour of the perfume factory and make your own scent . Go to the garden of the groves . So much to do. I sold my place due to my health and miss grand bahama island and the people so much.

When we went to Sandals years ago no guests were on the beach. As soon as we were on the beach we were surrounded by locals trying to sell us their goods and asking us to get them drinks from the bar. Swindled out of $60 for $5 worth of beads and a beer. We didn't go back on the beach the rest of the trip. Just looked at the beach and stayed at the pools. The $12 was probably just to keep peddlers away.

We went on one of the first cruise ships out of Palm Beach many years ago for the two night cruise to Grand Bahamas . It was poorly managed and there were so many issues. We ended up receiving a full refund because I was persistent. We made the most of it and met some nice people. We will never go on a small ship cheap cruise ever again.

The guy in the suit might have been quickly cleaning rooms to turn over for people returning from the island. Those chemicals can be very harsh if you can't open windows and have a lot of rooms to clean in a short time. Also I don't mind people in the Bahamas upcharging... it's not like other mouse themed companies don't too.

Before Covid hit, it was cheaper to take cruises then to live in a retirement community. You had everything you needed, great food, entertainment, medical care & you got to travel to incredible places. This cruise was definitely out of the box, however enjoying an entire beach 🏖 to yourself that was worth the drive, the rain & Dasani water 😏… now bring on the gambling vlog🎲🎰

Hi Kyle/Lora. I only know the song Margaritaville because I ate at Margaritaville @ Universal 😂 Not sure about getting off the boat & waiting for it to come back & what the heck was the hazmat guy doing 😳 That beach was nice - the water is so clear. I give you credit for venturing away from the boat - I did that on Grand Camen but was anxious the entire time.

Idk this one seemed more fun to me than some of the bigger ones you've been on . I think part of it has to do with your low expectations for this cruise and some of it has to do with less stimulation. Like that's personally why i have no interest in cruises for myself- it's just too much. But this one was simple enough to where I could see myself having a good time

I'd prefer announcements in the room. When they have it in the halls, you're constantly running to the door and opening it so you can hear it. Not annoying at all to be hearing it in the room..

It sounds like a so-so hotel stay but with great food, you can’t get 2 nights and great food for less than you paid for this. If someone is up for an adventure, sounds worth a try, maybe 😀 thanks for showing us the full spectrum of the cruise industry

Nobody had the money to buy up ships during COVID so that's why they were scrapped. Even Bahamas Paradise sold a ship to scrap - they used to have two. The Margaritaville thing was even used to help recover from the shutdown - they got a boatload (sorry for the pun) of money to rebrand it.

When you add salt to water it helps the body absorb more hydration it’s better to put a dash of salt and a couple drops of lemon juice but not enough to taste it just enough to creat electrolytes thanks for another great vlog safe travels to you both

I appreciated see the besutiful water which i miss via you two. Pirste cove i believe that post covid. They lost so much from the huirican that lrveled the airport and other business's never to return to date. Theyr really dtruggling with no more spring break etc due to destroyed trsvel venues and airports that boats the only tourism
