Let's check out the SCANIA P 320 Fire Engine Crew Cab which as recently acquired by Clare County Fire & Rescue Service in Shannon Ireland.
It features a 9.3 Litre in-line 5 cylinder engine producing 320 hp 1600 Nm (1180 lb-ft) @1050 - 1300 rpm

As a retained firefighter for 20 years and now a station officer in Co. Monaghan. The fire service is a very interesting job with no two calls the same. David done very well explaining everything that was on the fire appliance and what the job entails. You can't beat having a Scania fire appliance on the front line at your station. Brilliant video lads 👍🚒

My grandfather was a firefighter for many years (retired in 2017 I think) and because of that I got to sit in the engines every now and then. Still jealous of his many stories on the job and massive respect for him

Actually drove one of these in work down the docks when they wore being imported ,,ha some machines and massive respect to the fire brigade and what they do 👍🏻👏🏻🇮🇪

Thats reminds me when I was living in dublin. A very nice guy from Blanchardstown fire station showed me the place and the fire engines. Very nice to see how the fire service works in a different country. Especially for a fireman. Thank you Stavros! Thank you Clare fire service 😊

I was surprised that the firefighters didn’t sleep in the station 24/7 like the most firefighters do here in Sweden,but maybe that vary from station to station,nice to see that they had Scania,and the video was as always awesome,thank you Stavros969 and a very deep and sincere thank you to all the staff working with in the rescue service where-ever you are :) :) :)

Varies widely. Volunteers, if they work based on shifts and live close enough, will often do their shifts at home and have a pager or alert app.

Helmet wise yes. But open sided helmets were the ones in europe until the mid 80’s and Cromwell F500’s were common in Ireland until a couple of years ago

Amazing machine, and equipment, brave brave men and women, most have other full time jobs. Where I used to work we had a chap who drove the fire engines, he was always running out the door to incidents when his pager goes off.

Brings back great memories, 20+ years ago the technology was very much lagging. Still loved the Dennis Pathfinder, Rapiers.. mostly handled the best. I'm certain Scania,Volvo are a cut above the rest.

Thanks Stavros for an awesome video, it reminded me of the time when I was a volunteer in the Auxiliary Fire Service with the Civil Defense. We used a fire truck which was called the 'Green Goddess' the appliances contained a mobile fire engine that was carried by four volunteers.
