Scanline City's Arcade Board Cases

3 жыл бұрынA new company called Scanline City are now creating dual-layer plexi + metal cases, designed to protect, display and use your arcade boards. They started with the Mortal Kombat quadrilogy, but will soon be moving on to cases from Capcom, Konami and many others. The above video is a trimmed-down version of the livestream we recently did, that showed off and discussed the four MK cases and their creation.

This looks like a great option. I have been mounting mine to wood for a while as I haven't found many good options for handling storage and playing weird boards.

Cool stuff Bob...just discovered Scanline's YT channel a few days ago. I saw a video about MAS arcade sticks and thought it was cool to find someone talking about MAS sticks which is quite rare. While watching the video, I also thought, "I wonder if Bob from RetroRGB knows about the channel". Then, I saw this today...talk about timing. Peace Bob.

@@ScanlineCity I notified RetroRalph shortly after our dialogue, but never got a response. I notified Todd Tuckey w/TNT Amusements today, one of the larger arcade channels and repair shops in the US. I will reply back if he does respond. Take care

Are these cases targeted for supergun users only? Will there be a way to bolt these into cabinets? Cases look great.

We will be releasing a bracket that allows you to mount any of our cases to an arcade machine...we are SUPER excited about it as cab owners ourselves!

I'd like a Pac-man case myself, except (1) those boards are big, which means bowing if not careful, and (2) the Mrs. Pacman daughter board and the various multikits out there mean you'll have some kind of secondary PCB flopping around and I don't know how you'll neatly mount those. The cases should also cover the JAMMA adapters, which I would like to leave on the Pac-Man board at all time. No sense in covering the game board when the JAMMA adapter is still exposed, you know?

Why note cover the entire board in metal or plastic so that it is more water resistant?

I hope that someone will come up with a real cheap option soon. A unmounted pcb will most likely at least bend.

You could always mount it to a piece of wood. Or just keep them in anti-static bubble wrap, in a padded mailer.
