The only case of it actually being attempted was a dad trying to kill his child for life insurance money, hoping that it would seem random, because he was inspired by the fear mongering, not the other way around. It still failed because it was pretty easy to see the candy was tampered with.

I know refusing to explain the difference between "horror" and "spooky" is a bit but honestly it has always made perfect sense to me.

"Night of the Safe, Unwhelming Party" is juuuuust expository enough for a bait-and-switch horror movie that I think it would do gangbusters as an ironic title for a comedy-horror.

Me and my brother went to go see this movie when we were in high school. We were quite surprised and liked the fact that the black guy actually survived a 1980s horror movie. And we had the biggest crush on Fannie. Long Live Raj.

I, for one, would love to learn more about the Saga of Angela the Doctor Goth Demon.

Raj in my opinion did the right thing he tried to tell them you're messing with powers you cannot control nor do you understand. And Raj is like I'm going to be a black man that's actually going to survive a 1980s horror movie.

One of my all time favorites. I saw Amelia Kinkade and Linnea Quigley at a Con a few years ago talking about this movie and Kinkade was rocking a leather jacket with a drawing of Angela with her hands on fire on the back of it. It was great.

You definitely need to do a video on Motel Hell. It's unbelievable that this movie isn't a household name. It's brilliantly insane. It's like if John Waters made Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

There is a really impressive shot where a mirror breaks and each character is framed in a shard. It shows that the filmmakers actually cared.

The movie _I_ confused this one for when the video started was 1995's Demon Knight, which is another one I hope Mil-Dread eventually tackles. IIRC it's also spooky Halloween fun with demons attacking a house full of people but with the addition of a demon hunter guy who can ward the demons out with the blood in his magic key.

I've seen this movie oh so many times, once as recently as in the last few years, and yep... no recollection of the three "not characters" that you mentioned. Also, in spite of being the type of messed up horror fan that loves this movie, I've never watched any of the sequels or the remake, so it would be awesome to see those covered next.

On first viewing I'm was pretty sure Angela intended to unleash the demons, which would also explain why she keeps coming back in the sequels, but on further reflection maybe she keeps coming back because the demons just really like Goths.

I so hope you do the sequels. I've seen part 2 and really liked it but I have yet to delve into Part 3. I remember the remake as I watched it one day at work when things were super slow but it didn't really stick with me and, as I recall, there were some egregiously bad CGI eyes on some of the demons as well as a very awkward performance from Edward Furlong.

Ahh pumpkin ales. Coin toss on if you're getting one of the scant few good ones, in which case it's spectacular, or one of the many, many terrible ones. Props to Dogfish Head Brewing for making the only "eh, it's all right" pumpkin ale I've ever encountered.
