@@ScarletsWayMusic My friend Stephen Ryder was the piano player on the first studio recording of this song. It was the only time a keyboard was used for this number. Stephen told me Your keyboardist nailed it like no one else has done, and that your vocalist gave him spooky chills. I agree.

Hey mate, I played guitar on this track and mixed it. I just read your other comment regarding “ghost notes”. I can confirm there were plenty of ghost notes, actually, you can view some around the 2.57-3.01 minute mark 😊 I didn’t use a lot of compression on the recording, as it’s meant to be an open, live recording. In doing this lighter strokes won’t be overly audible. Glad you enjoyed the performance in some ways, but the drummer did exactly what we asked of him using brushes. Cheers 🤘

Next time, please ask advices to your drummer ;o) As I think, using the brushes has mitigated the heart of this song : inherited from rock of 60s, the regular sticks make the song more rythmic, especially at the end with the feeling of acceleration. (the ghost note works "only" with sticks)

great cover,the song is not by janis,she sings it.people dont give credit where it deserved. actually i believe it was recorded by roger miller. the credit should be bobby mcgee by kris kristofferson. songwriters are the first forgotten the least discussed and the last an cheapest to be paid. Not to mention mostly to (not always) to be shit on from no mention at all.

Hey there, glad you enjoyed it. 😊 We are aware that Kris Kristofferson wrote the song, our cover however, is based off of Janis Joplin’s recorded version. If we were commercially releasing the track, we would definitely have listed the songwriters. 🤘🤘
