@@8Livingthedream I wear my dirt bike knee pads when just normal flying at some spots near home. A few have some rough top landings especially when the wind shifts on you suddenly, and one day a minor stumble to one knee as I lost my balance landed on a small stone, but bung up my knee and it swelled up real quick and could barely walk on it for a week! Good to see another pilot take precautionary measures because as another skydiver, BASE jumper and PG pilot, we know there are infinite variables to all of these sports no matter if you're low air time or a veteran, small mistakes can be extremely painful or even deadly... Just lots of wind. My max for the 11m is 34-36mph, and I measured it at 33-36mph. Any big gust and I would go into the bushes behind launch.
