@@geraldamustika18 I know my friend. It’s been three hours since they were supposed to run out of oxygen. I’m very sorry and I still believe in miracles, I just hope that if they’re alive they come home, and if they’re dead the submarine is found, so the families can have some closure. God bless

I don’t disagree that this was a submarine rescue simulation but I don’t understand how the Woodrow Wilson was involved. I was a crew member on the Woodrow Wilson SSBN 624 (converted to SSN 624 in 1990) for 18 months in the 1970's. She was decommissioned over 30 years ago (in September of 1994) and her disassembly for recycling was completed in 1998. How could she possibly have had any involvement in this video?

@Jackson Daniels: While working at the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Test Range in the Marshall Islands, my best friend & dive buddy had been assigned to nuclear fast attack subs out of Guam while in the Navy. My assistant high voltage electrician had been assigned to Boomers out of Scotland. My boss had actually been a sub commander for 25 years. We talked quite a bit about their sub training & adventures.... except our ex sub commander boss. He wouldn't give up a damn thing. I have a serious question.... what in the actual fuck is a Submarine Parachute Assistance Group they mentioned in this video? Is that anything like a Submarine Screen Door Support Squadron?

@@nerblebun I'm guessing a SPAG - if it really exists - must be a diver unit that can be dropped from an aircraft above a stricken sub. Sounds a bit overkill having a '101st Airborne' just for rescuing subs but I suppose depending on the emergency it could be useful to get a team on site ASAP to inspect the exterior of the sub. They would definitely reach the scene before any surface vessels got there and could likely relay pertinent info back to whomever was organising the rescue. I'm picturing Navy Seals with wrenches. I'm also thinking what do they do once they get there and the sub isn't on the surface? Do they inspect it and then bob around on the surface until the first ship arrives? I'm full of questions now.

@@krashd: Thank you sir, that actually makes sense. As you say, it would be Navy Seals dropped from a plane to be first on scene. Seals have no problem dropping required equipment with them when they jump. Our Navy SEAL Teams have access to technically advanced equipment so classified, we'll never even hear about it.

There are so many rescue measures they dont want to even tryout for sailors. I see carriers have systems that is ineffective. And dont understand why they made it so. Those sailors could have survived minor. But since equipment is not in place they dont have chance. More security for them. What i say. My heart goes to the familys and you and your countrymen and woman, That are mourning this horrible loss. I live on coastline of north norway. Fishercountry. So we have lost many at sea. Much love i send you and all ur people. Best regards from Norway.

@Rios Salvajes Most compatible, XP has it's problems but the majority of defence software was written for it and spent 5 to 10 years being perfected. To switch a vessel over to Windows 10 (or even 8 or 7) would require defence contractors rewriting their software and then spending another decade refining it. If all you need is a basic GUI that can relay the information required to the operator then XP is as good as anything else still.
