Schindler 330a Elevator at the Manchester Garage - West County Center - Des Peres, MO

(December 2022) This is the elevator in the Manchester Garage at West County Mall in Des Peres, MO. This garage was built a bit after the mall was redone, so this is a newer elevator compared to the rest. It's just a basic Schindler 330A hydraulic elevator with vandal resistant HT buttons. I like the cover over the call button and keyswitches on the outside of this elevator.

@@BuildingToursForLife1660-4 They can get vandalized and broken at any time. The call button on the top floor is worn down from being outside in the weather.

This happened in a video at one of the Roosevelt Field mall parking garages on Long Island in NY 12 years ago; it’s a SIMON mall. During a rainstorm a few years prior, it flooded the machine room and messed up the controller. Simon didn’t want to fix it, so it basically has a mind of its own.
