Daaamn I stayed here a long time ago. I don't know if I stayed in this tower or not, but I remember the elevators being custom series 1

+NationalElevator Both towers have Schindler Haughton elevators, and they were not modernized until Otis modernized them with Compass. When you say Custom Series 1, do you mean flat Series 1, or Series 1 Vanity (which is often called Custom Series 1 by elevator technicians, and many elevator enthusiasts call it Vanity)?

It must have been a different Marriott then. It had the Series 1 which was flush with the panel.

NationalElevator There is also the Marriott Suites in Anaheim. I don't know what brand of elevators they have there, but maybe that is the hotel you are thinking of.

Good thing it's a Series 2 (very late Series 2), phew, you saved my life. I could still ride these elevators without getting too bored, these would still have been better with Schindler Haughton buttons.

Cathedral of Learning was the first building in the WORLD with the compass Plus system and those arent compass plus they would have different chimes

+PAelevators I did research after filming this video, and I didn't think these were CompassPlus. I noticed that CompassPlus has different hall stations.

NTM these have Otis Series 2 or 4 buttons which are still awesome but what would have been more awesome if these were using a box LED red light indicators instead of the TV ones, regardless, being they're series 2 or 4 they are okay for a modern day Otis. This one of the better modern Otises I have seen too.
