From the other side of the coin, you might be interested in a book called: Opening the Hand of Thought by Kosho Uchiyama. He's a Japanese monk who studied Christian theology at university. Many people regard the book as a kind of Zen primer, but it's much more than that. Books are wonderful things but there's more to life than reading about life.

I have heard the monk's name. He was a Zen master called Roshi. However, his books might be hard to get, even in the Japanese version. It will be worth researching. Thank you for telling me!

I have borderline personality disorder and some psychologists believe that we do not feel empathy for others (thus we are narcissistic too). I worry that I am a narcissist. But in the past, I would always put others before me and listen to their problems. I have definitely become more selfish in the last 3 or 4 years probably because of loneliness, isolation, anxiety and depression. i have become mindful recently and make an effort to contact family and a friend (yes, I just have one friend). Very thoughtful and intelligent video - you have a marvelous mind and you are handsome too.

Narcissism itself can be negative. However, you do not need to deny it. Negating your negative side can be harmful to your health. You already understand your condition. Realizing it is crucial rather than overcoming your symptoms. Thank you for your comments.
