With increased claims of recognition, inclusion, and to some extent acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in Canada, a subsection of these communities warrants a closer examination due to their unique positioning. LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugee claimants face extensive challenges from arduous journeys, port of entry issues, to seeking status processes, and attaining proper resources and supports.
