0:16, you can tell Joey and Kevin were best friends instantly right from the start. I couldn't imagine how Joey has felt since Kevin's death. RIP Kevin.

There is a part in the montage scene where he has the chalkboard all filled with different genres of rock, and examples of bands that use it under them. So yeah, it’s likely. Or if you’re meaning the actual actors, then also yeah

They thaught Robert Tsai how to play rock, he comes from a classical background and didn't really know how to rock the block.

@@mysticusher7455 It could just be music in general. A lot of music genres are intertwined, and learning one genre can help with another. Helps to make what you can do more well-rounded

@@mysticusher7455 There would be no metal without rock coming first, no rock without jazz, no jazz without blues, ect. The older genres gave birth to new ones by mixing different components, instruments and so on.

Richard Linklater is such an underrated director. He directed this masterpiece and the before trilogy. Amazing movies.

I was the same age as those kids (same age as Zack), and I remember having the biggest crush on Becca Brown because I thought she was the prettiest. Other than my dad, friends in middle school, this film was the final inspiration for me to pick up the guitar. And I haven’t put it down ever since. Went to school for music specializing in classical guitar. I’m 30 now

Wow some of, if not all of the actresses became DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in their later years! I’d also say that Robert Tsai’s English has improved a lot. 😉👌 Moreover, I hope I get to meet Jack Black in person in my lifetime. But then again, I have met Hilary Swank! 😎

When I was in school we had an actual substitute teacher who showed this movie to us, in 2010 I think. A few years later we got the same teacher watching it with us again. He probably did this a lot

The history of rock needs to be taught in school. Need to get kids into better music. Kids are relying on their parents to get them into older rock music.
