If you want proper, public school isn't the place.

Segregation shouldn’t happen in public schools, and children with disabilities shouldn’t be segregated away from the general population! They deserve an education just like everybody else! In 2024, how come some special needs school still continue to operate? Why can’t they enroll in regular public schools?

Because they can't sit still. And then NOBODY gets an education.

Have you ever been in a public school?

@@joshuaupham5993 yes. I have high functioning autism, and I attended public schools all my life.

They should have special schools with staff trained to deal with these children. Sorry but it would be unfair to place them in public schools.

That’s an old school of thought. We have our SPED students mixed in with General Education for the majority of the day in our school in my state. All are thriving. Do you know what helps? Money, patience, training, love, compassion, grit, support, and an engaged public that doesn’t believe that our kids are immediately going to fail as soon as they grace the playground.

@@bluevalkyrie8981 people with disabilities deserve to be in general public schools like everybody else and learn skills such as reading, writing, and learning the same subjects as their peers.

@@goodcommunitylife exactly, because they ARE a part of our society.
