Designing a new gold farm
Did you spot some bedrock, pig spawners or water in the nether in this video and think we're not playing survival? Understandable, but we actually got those items in survival in 1.12. Here's the video explaining how we got those blocks:

What if powered rails got stronger with the weaker redstone strength you give it (not including 0) but to balance the length of the powered rail gets reduced.

@@charliethunkman I don't know if it's powered rails that need to be buffed. Personally I'd love to see furnace minecarts being more viable/usable as "trains" and some loading/unloading/routing options similar to what the railcraft mod does.

since you plan on having the mobs in minecarts anyways you could maybe drive their heads trough solid blocks for a specific amount of time to get them down to half a heart. would work perfectly with the mobs not counting to the mobcap. You could also sort out the babys with tripwires, redirecting them and dropping them to a death pit on the bedrock seeling

Rollercoaster of death! I really like how creative this farm is, it's really obvious that you're just trying to have fun and innovate, not make the omegaGoldenFarminator3000items/secondubersuperefficienicy everybody builds. Not that it's wrong to build those kinda farms, it's more than enough for someone who's not that versed into redstone to get some items, but it's just that scicraft does it different. That's passionates of redstone having fun and pushing the limits of their imagination!

Putting carpets on top of the pointed dripstone will still apply the extra damage without letting the babies get stuck. Seems like that would be more viable here than normal since you have the item drop collection elsewhere.

That sort of "organic response" to the item flows is so cool

i think a cool way of doing auto crafting would be with redstone dust, similar to how with furnaces you need fuel and with brewing stands you need blaze powder, this block would use redstone to automatically craft recipes (more on that in a second). it would look similar to the crafting table (slight texture and changes and a recolour) the functionality would be you can use a schematic (similar to banner patterns where it's whatever craftable block and a piece of paper, done within the auto crafting table ui) to then have resources it's holding craft the recipe until it runs out 9 slot input storage 18 block out and with hopper dropper dispenser support
