[ScienceNews2014]Quasicrystals: A third type of solid

Not so long ago scientists thought there were only two types of solids: crystals, composed of order arrangements of atoms, and amorphous materials, in which the atoms are connected in a disorder fashion.
But then a third type of solid was discovered, overturning the conventional wisdom. These new materials, called quasicrystals, have fascinated scientists with their beauty and strangeness.
We will explore the mysterious world of quasicrystals.

You should try to Design your Quasicrystals and Metamaterials beforehand in CAD and then use the help of a CAM-driven Mid-Air Acoustic manipulation in 3DOF to build your Quasicrystal Structures, Atom by Atom, like a 3D-Printer.
