The interesting thing about what happens when someone is shot or stabbed is not only how much adrenaline they have, but what they "think" happens when one gets shot. If someone thinks that getting shot with a 45 will knock them on their back, that will happen. Other people will keep moving bc they don't think one bullet can kill them. That's why in most professional militaries, the way we're drilled to kill is to shoot at human-shaped targets twice in the chest and once in the head (or groin). The reason is that supersonic bullets create catastrophic temporary cavities in the body, but when two of them happen, it instantly sends the body into shock regardless of how the mind thinks it will react; untreated shock will kill someone just as well as anything. The bullet to the head or groin is there to make sure the person stops moving. See, it doesn't matter how strong or determined you are if your pelvis can't support your muscles' pulling on them. The shot to the pelvis has gone out of fashion lately, though, because at the range when two follow-up shots is more than likely, it only takes a few months to teach a soldier to hit the head more than 80% of the time at 10m with a standard service rifle. Anyway, the more you know! ^_^

Hello, i'm the author of Survival. Actually what I had been thinking about. I was in the army for awhile, now I work in healthcare- you'd be surprised how much a person can lose before they actually die lol

@@jd4083 had a guy in my platoon get hit with the million dollar wound... if you know you know... he kept advancing and fighting until his Sergent noticed he was bleeding. It's a responsibility of the squad leader to make sure his guys are OK. Whenever there is a lul in combat, typicaly the fire line will be prone and aiming in thier sector of fire.. The squad leader goes between his soldiers and ask if they are OK, and while asking about thier status on ammo, water, and confirming thier sector of fire, the leaders are to rub thier hands firmly across the soldiers arms, inside the back of the armor plate carrier and down thier legs to check for blood. When you are hopped up on adrenaline while bullets are whizzing in the immediate face of the thought in the back of your mind that every breathe you take could be your last. Your senses are super heightened, you look and think fast and furiously. Seconds can feel like an hour. All the while you lose the sense of pain. You could be running on a leg with a bullet hole in it and just be wondering why you lost the strength in your steps. P.S: If anyone doesn't know and read this far, the million dollar shot can refer to any non life threatening injury, considered lucky, but typicaly associated with being shot in the ass. He was shot in the ass from the side. Literally split the muscle if his left buttocks as if he had been sliced with a butcher knife.

As a Russian I don't even have to imagine - Chinese literally call us 战斗民族 (warrior nation) :D. Though, it's just a meme, they just compare us to some kind of fictional race from an anime series, as far as I know. But there are also real warrior nations, I can remember at least three of them immediately: 1. Tuvans. They are basically like Monghols, but more aggressive. Fun fact: during WWII Tuva was the first country to declare a war on Nazi Germany, after it attacked the Soviet Union. Nowadays Tuva is part of Russian Federation and our minister of defence is Tuvan. 2. Chukchi aka Lygoravetl'et ("true humans" in Chukchi language). Unfortunately, there are not many of them left and they don't fight anymore, but in XVII-XVIII centuries they considered themselves to be the only true humans and all the other people in their eyes were either slaves or prey. They are one of the reasons why Siberian tribes joined Russia wilfully - Russian colonists promised protection from Chukchi. 3. Chechens. They still have some remnants of early medieval society structures, with heavy emphasis on tribal identity, honor and blood feuds (the latter is forbidden, but many Chechens are not really into following "the Russian laws"). But don't think of them as technologicaly backward in any way, they are pretty modern in this regard. Currently we're using them as ground forces in Syria, because the are muslim and it helps in communication with locals.

There's another story about a race whose government contacted a horror writer whose work was seen as too vile to be sold in certain stay systems. And they had him write and rewrite a fictional history with a dark twist, trying to make them seem despicable. Eventually they have him read from a book. And after throwing up a few times, he asks if whatever mind came up with it was still alive. Then the ball drops. It wasn't fiction. It was factual history. And they wanted him to write something on par with that alien races history to make them seem menacing too because that race was about to discover ftl travel. He gave up on that task and fled to as far away as he could. He left with a warning to never read anything titled "The history of Earth" and never try to engage with any being known as a "human".

It takes time to get the intonation right, i have detected different intonations in his newer videos, but its probably a major strain on his throat, however he is actually pretty good... even if his voice makes my speakers crackle

Along with the human aid workers, the baddies killed the woodworking alien's ambassador when they destroyed the St. Jude. So, when the humans got majorly pissed off, the woodworking alien got the contract to make the coffins for the baddies once they got rightfully schwacked by very pissed off humans, and the first story was basically a letter to the baddie's ambassador saying "lol sucks to be you"

Humans also die if they are shot in the heart, but as long as you don't shot them there or in the head they will keep fighting.

@@Hektols That’s the joke, a shot in the heart can take up to a couple of minutes until the person collapses, and another couple until they die. That’s the whole point of the “speed run” comment.
