Quick little fix for a broken rear vent slider.

Thanks so much! Just done this on our 2024 seat tarraco and it wasnt much different 👍 being useless at mechanics this video was a god send. Didnt glue it back in so hoping it doesnt rattle 😅

Thanks my man. Picked up my mk7 golf on tuesday and my 3 year old daughter had the tab kicked off by sunday lol. Fixed it with the help of this video. Thanks man much appreciated 👍👌

I do not think glueing is that necessary since the vent after montage seems to be well placed. Did it in mine yesterday, also without glueing.

Did you guys have a photo. Mine seems pretty hard to get off without breaking the claws.

I don’t have any photos but I remember it being just like in the video, with the armrest pulled forward, give it a could good hits to pop it loose.

@@JustinOhm Thanks. I had no problem taking the entire piece off. Just cannot take the grid off without braking the welding.

@@pengandrew you have to break the welding. But after you do and when putting it back together it fit together snug enough where I didn’t need the hot glue.

Life saver. Was cleaning the car and noticed the slider on the floor and the plastic piece behind had fallen down. Thank to this video it was a quick fix. The plastic welds popped with a screwdriver and I had some glue to put them back on. Thankyou!

Thanks, this helped. Thankfully I was able to find this video, otherwise I was very close to break the thing like you did. Holding the small thing from behind with a screwdriver made it click (with a few attempts). Sorry to see that you've broken yours, but after you glued it, nobody can tell the difference. Big thanks for the video and experience

Cheers worked perfectly on my clubsport after my 3 year old kicked it off. No need for glue as it was just clipped in. Nice easy fix

I am looking to fix my VW Touran Air Conditioning Rear Outlet Vent. I assume would be the same steps there are no screws just pops out. this video is what I was expecting to see. Thank you.

Thanks for video! I just wanted to add for any future viewers that I managed to attach the two small bits back together without “breaking” the fans off. I held the inner piece with a suitable pincer and was able to make them click back together. This was on a e-golf, don’t know if it’s any different.

FYI, you do not have to separate the halves to repair. A right angle dental pick supporting the rear of the sled while snapping the tab into place easily does the trick.

Just done this without taking anything apart. For me the part was still inside the vent that clips to the outside part to move the vent. The hard part is when you push it back on the inside bit moves back so i used a tent peg to pull it from behind then pushed it on... Boom

I tried to do mine by trying to hold it from behind with a small z shape allen key, couldn’t get it to clip on unfortunately :s

Ça se fixe bien même sans collage il n’y a qu’à juste aligné le tout et bien maintenir avec sa main la grille derrière le boîtier et de l’accompagner jusqu’à la butée. Je viens tout juste d’essayer. Et merci beaucoup pour le tuto 🙏🏻

You can do this without breaking the vent off. I was able to get a long, thin, flathead screwdriver up the vent and use it to push on the little piece in the back enough to snap the front half of the clip over. It's kind of a pain to do but it saves you from having to break the vent off and glue it back on like this.

Nema dugmad za ventilaciju da se kupe,imaju samo za prednju ventilaciju.Ja sam razmisljao da probam da ubudzim ta prednja dugmad u zadnju ventilaciju

@@slobodanslobic Sad sam skinuo,i reparirao moj,vrlo lako i prosto.Mislim da može dugmad sa prednje ventilacije,imaš na KP za 500 din po komadu

@@slobodanslobic Kod mene su,kao i kod većine,dugmad bila otpala,a to je zbog onih pipaka gde se 2 dela dugmeta sastavljaju.Prvo sam odvojio rešetke ventilacije,one su zatopljene fabrički,ali lako se odvoje sa nekim tankim klestima,oblikuje se onaj vrh te plastike da može da se rešetke izvuku.Zatim,sa obe strane rešetki se uvuče neki tanak srafciger ili skalpel,da izađe rešetka van,kao i ovde na snimku.Zatim imaš pristup dugmetu na srednjem tom,kako bih ga nazvao,usmerivaču gde stoji dugme.Onde gde se spajaju dva dela dugmeta,po ivici,sam stavio super lepak,stavio usmerivač i sastavio.Onda ubacio onu malu polugu što usmerava levo desno ventilaciju i polako vratio sve nazad.Veoma prosto,samo treba polako i bez gubljenja živaca,jer je dosta pipavo.Treba obratiti pažnju takođe na smer onih usmerivača,kad vraćaš,jer su sa jedne strane pod 90 stepeni a sa druge su kosi.Ona polugica što okreće levo desno se stavlja da bude ka unutrašnjim stranama ventilacije.Možda deluje zbunjujuće kad opisujem,ali nije uopšte.Ona dugmad što se prodaju na Kupujem Prodajem, što sam ti pominjao,su za prednju ventilaciju.Na prednjoj su ona krilca usmerivanja vazduha malo šira,i samo dugme je 25mm,a na naslonu je 20 mm,mađutim može sigurno da se,uz malo prepravke,napravi da bude večno,i da više ne ispada.

@@slobodanslobic Mada ima i na Ali Ekspres da se naruči kompletan deo,ali ja nisam siguran u kvalitet istog.Jedan, čini mi se iz Uba,prodaje kompletan deo, što ide pozadi na naslon,samo ušrafiš ona dva šrafa,za 3000 dinara.Ali pitanje je u kakvom su stanju dugmad...
