I remember getting yelled at at work as a teen. I was getting screamed at by some guy twice my age at the time and I couldn’t help but start crying, I was the only person at work and had no one to back me up. When he saw me crying he only started to insult me in front of other customers, luckily they backed me up. It’s been a few years since this happened and it still makes me upset. I wish people would try and understand rather than go straight to yelling, especially at kids.

I'm a guy that loves all people and I spread love everywhere I go 🙂 I help people for a living and I changed many lives, I learned through this that all human beings need to be treated with utmost care and compassion 😊 this made it really pleasant for all the people who work around me, the results of kindness and love from both coworkers and customers in the work place is absolutely AMAZING 😃

someone who acts like that in public is someone who is so far gone and stuck in their own angry, bitter world Imagine what you would have to feel inside to be acting like that to strangers in public, just remenber those people are suffering to be acting like that so dont feel bad for crying, feel bad that such a person is so angry with the world that they act like that. I'd rather be happy friendly and likeable than a bitter, angry person who has embarassing outbursts in public, cant imagine people like that have many genuine relationships in their life

I was a toll collector for 9 years at the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The extremes that some people would go to be abusive towards the collectors amazed me. Throwing objects including hot liquids, even heating up coins with a lighter and dumping them from a car ashtray into the collector's hands. People would drive with quarters in their ears, money tucked under their arm pits, bra, pants etc. That being said more people were nice as they stopped to pay and briefly exchange pleasantries.

I’ve learned that people who are verbally abusive to people have not emotionally grown up. When your child throws a temper tantrum, teach them how to handle their emotions. If you yourself don’t know how then you need to learn because they need your help so they can be mature adults. I use to work in customer service and had to deal with disrespectful from men and women and sometimes I can tell they wanted to get physically abusive. Smh. It saddens me that this young lady and many others go through this and I will be forever grateful for my experience in the customer service field. It has taught me a great deal in human relations.

Yeah it's crazy how some take it out on cashiers. I was a cashier/bagged food/cleaned the front house. And some people had the nastiest attitude. I always hated it when they would give me a hard time for the owners raising the prices. Or when the cooks were lazy and let food run out and I had to tell them "oh sorry we dont have that". And they would get mad at me. Or when the cooks would make a mistake in their burrito. This guy got his nachos put in a Togo box thanks to the cooks instead of it being in a regular plate. He got mad ripped the lid and threw at my coworkers face. Or when this guys food took a while to get made he got so mad that he threw his bag of salsas over the counter and it splattered every where. I was shocked on that one. Or when we try to mop and we put wet floor signs and some still have the nerve to walk on the wet floor and walk past me. Or complain "why are you mopping I'm here right now" knowing there they can go to their left where its dry.

@@Ventilatori57 I'm not sure what they meant by comprehensive. Maybe they meant to say "considerate" and autocorrect changed it. Anyway "comprehensive" usually means that someone or something deals with every part of something else. So for example, you could say the manager has a comprehensive understanding of how to manage employees, because he comforted her in a bad moment (unlike a manager who just trains and disciplines employees and doesn't consider their emotional needs). Someone with a comprehensive understanding of how cars work would understand the different parts in a car, different kinds of cars, etc.

It's the worst feeling to have those uncontrollable gasp-sobs. It's impossible to force them to stop or to hide them, and they always seem to get worse when someone is there. So so humiliating.

That means you're fighting your emotions, which makes it even worse. Just let it out and don't bottle up your emotions because they WILL come back to haunt you if you keep at it... as someone whos going through therapy for doing that for the majority of my life I can tell you... Just dont its not worth it and if someone doesn't agree with you showing it or letting it out then they are not the type of people you need in your life, PERIOD! You are the only thing that is most important in life (until you have children) so take care of yourself! Because you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first!

I used to cry like that and it was very difficult to stop, my mom always forces me to stop the crying even though i couldn't she would get more and more angry at me the more i cry, so she gets more angry and the cycle continue until i just turn my back or get in my bed to block my view.
